beautiful work.. I have a small project that has been stuck in my head for a while.
I have a aluminum part that needs some machine 'expertise'. Its a small stabilizer for a pistol that I want to add some factory weights without ruining the whole thing..
if I could figure out how to pm you or get info without hitting up the whole forum, I would.
Last week a couple rednecks down the street enlisted me to "help hold" a Chebby big block they were itching to fire for the first time.
Floppy engine stand, throttle happy crackers...and a funnel of gas hanging off the shelf...
(psst...hey buddy....psst... take your hand off the headers...no you can't hold it there, trust me)
I see some of dem Chebby guys been working out eh? Yah... good idea to be in shape if YOU KNOW you're gonna have to walk 😉
Another guy I just met (through the "wife from Philippines network") is a airboat mechanic (certified) and was bitchin about the 502s they're getting that need complete disassembly and re-machined before entering service.
Totally out of balance, valves.... don't even wanna talk about THAT... and even one with random compression..... meh.... what's 15%?... it'll go 100,000 miles! (says the BS salesman)
Porting chainsaw jugs has got SOooooo much easier with a mill, F ---> dremels.
2 hours? try 20 mins! woot!
Ok I'm done.... wrong forum (he started it)
Wait.... no I'm not.
The scariest thing happened the other day....
I was holding an Eaton M90 (have 3 of them) and walked past my F-150 with 4.9 I6....
and set it down on the upper intake..... oh crap.... the pulleys line up almost perfect..... just need a second belt and crank pulley to accommodate ... K6 belt... childsplay
Word on the street is that the 4.9 can handle 6psi like a champ........ even worse.... turbos are cheap and EASY to plumb on straight motors... and the ACTUAL word on the street is that the 4.9 can handle 8psi.
What have I done to myself????? 😉
There you have it, the world according to John.
