Mike Harris has asked me to post this announcement : Due to a schedule conflict on the airgun range (2 airgun shoots posted for the same time) Mike's shoot will be moved back to sight in @ 12 noon and the shoot will start @ 1: pm sharp. Feel free to come out early and shoot the earlier shoot which is the club's annual Turkey Shoot. Which includes a fun shoot at turkey targets ( paper and silhouettes ) at different distances from a bench and off hand. Top 3 per class take home a Turkey. Should be a good time.
Hector that info might be posted on the DCFS website, it is a shoot they have every year from what I understand. Talking to Don Tillman he said it involves NRA turkey silhouettes at 50 yards from a benchrest and then again at 30 ? Offhand, paper turkey targets from a bench and then again offhand. Don't quote me on the distances but that is basically the format. There are 3 separate classes...1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each class wins a Turkey. Sounds like a fun shoot and from what I have been told, draws a good crowd.
Turkey Shoot starts @ 9:30am for those interested.
If I have this correct now it's 3 separate competitions....
1st competition is paper silhouettes of turkeys at 50 yards from a benchrest and that is for rifles-all-rifles.
2nd competition is reduced distances silhouettes NRA turkeys only at 4 short distances offhand rifles- all rifles.
3rd competition is same as 2nd but for pistols.
All this on the air rifle range which is left, up the hill from the parking area.
