July 27th brought fine weather and thirteen shooters to the Invicta match, for the first hour there wasn't a wisp of wind, but the breeze picked up, and it felt good.... when you weren't shooting, LOL.

We had four visitors that came over from Atlanta, David Still, who shot back at the end of the 1990's and early 2000's, well he is back shooting with his grandson Wes, who on the first time he shot a complete match knocked down 34 ex 60!!!
The other two shooters you may have heard of, Ken Hughes and Doug Vinson!! Ken won last years TN State, not to mention former US Nationals Champion, and Doug of course has won the TN State five times.... Surprise, Ken won the match! Brad estimated the Troyer scale at around a 37, so not an easy course. While there was two tied scores we didn't do any shoot offs, it was getting too hot!

It was great seeing everyone, we need to do it again, oh and I heard a rumor that Walt Roller may hold one of his famous matches this year, so stay tuned and we will keep you informed!

Nice shooting guys. I can’t wait to get back and try Invicta one more time. Fun the last time. Maybe on the way home from Ohio in the fall.

Best to all.

Gary,

There is a possibility that we will have a match at Roz's Hollow, the day (Friday) before the Tennessee State match on Saturday at the Invicta range in Minor Hill, TN.

Brad will be setting the date soon. This would give us 2 matches on the same weekend. Friday's match would not count towards the State championship. It's just going to be a fun match. It will be in the afternoon on Friday, if held.

 Hope you can make it,

Pat

Pat, That sounds awesome. Cliff has told me about Roz’s Hollow but I’ve not had the pleasure. I met Roz at the Cajun and I hope I can make the weekend. Sounds like fun.

Gary,

Just talked to Roz. He is going to cancel his match on September 14, so everyone can go to Walt's. We will take a head count this coming Saturday ( August 10. 2019) at the GOB's on who is going to go to Walt's. The Invicta match for the 4th Saturday in August has been moved up to August 17.
