Good Ole Boy's FT match this Saturday, July 14, 2018
There will be a regular scheduled FT match this coming Saturday at Roz's Hollow near Pulaski, TN just off Hwy #31 South at 377 Hardy Rd.
(2nd Saturday of each month)
If you are going South on Hwy #31 from Pulaski, TN. go approx. 5-6 miles and turn left(East) on to Hardy Road at the church. Go about 1 1/2 miles to Roz Hollow.
The sight-in range will be open at 8AM and the match will start at 9AM. There is a $5.00 match fee and no food will be provided. Most of us go into Pulaski to a restaurant after the match. It is supposed to be warm with scattered showers in the after noon. Should be nice under the pine trees on the White course. Roz is constantly changing the course around to make it more interesting, so look for a great course setup.
Hope to see you Saturday, Pat
Results for the Good Ole Boy's FT match last Saturday, July 14, 2018
Saturday turned out to be a miserable day for shooting Ft due to the heat and high humidity. It's been hot all week long, but Mother Nature turned on the humidity for a change. It was very foggy in places on the way down from Nashville and I guess that was an indication of what was to come. In spite of these problems, Harold Rushton was able to chalk up a tremendous score of 57/60 on a pretty tough course. He was the only competitor to get above the 50's. Roz continues to play with the White course by moving targets out farther and using a little smaller KZ's on some of the lanes. Getting us ready for the Nationals in North Carolina in October.
We had a visitor that happened to be in the area stop by. Several of our regulars already knew Jonathon Reyes and everyone enjoyed meeting and talking with him and his wife. He seemed to enjoy the match and course and hopefully will be able to come back sometime. My buddy, Steve Vines was able to ride down with me and I enjoyed his company. The drive always seems to go a lot faster with someone to talk to.
We had a total of 12 shooters with 7 in the Open PCP class, 2 in the WFTF Piston class and 3 in the WFTF PCP class. We are still missing several of our regulars.
Cliff Smith and Jim Baumann were out of town and Larry Cleveland is still recovering from an operation. Larry is doing well and we are all looking forward to him getting back.

After all is said and done, it was a miserable day for about 3 hours, but good to get out and see friends and make new ones. Two weeks from Saturday (4th Saturday of the month), we will meet again on top of Minor Hill, TN for another go at it.
