Field Target Tech Episode 13 Range Testing, 305 Shots, 1 Fill!!!
In this second part of Field Target Tech Episode Lucky 13, I go to the range and do some testing, and give an update on the rebuild/tuning process, and fill pressures with shot count.
600 PSI is where I deemed it was falling off, my regulator is around 1000 PSI or so. I filled to 3000, shot 100 shots or so, that left me with 2100 PSI. Went another 100, and brought it down to around 1300 PSI. Kept on going, and another 105 shots put me at around 600 PSI. This is when I deemed it was no longer consistent, and was dropping off. The entire FPS spread was around 22 FPS, with unsorted pellets. If I would have sorted them as I normally do, I would expect about half that. I think this is mainly due to the ultra light hammer, light springs in both the valve and the hammer, as well as a high flow transfer port and Tim Hill high flow valve. Along with that, I think the planet's might have been aligned or something....... I describe how the gun works, tear it down, and rebuild it in the 2 previous installments of Field Target Tech Channel.
