Sunday August 5th

60 target Match on D.C.F.S. Original or upper course

15 lanes-4 targets per lane

Trophies for first in each class

Trying to make it easier for new shooters to get involved in our sport of Field Target, I will have 4 spring piston guns available 2- beeman R7 and 2- HW 30 all with 4-12x40 scopes zeroed @ 25 yards for anyone that would like to give it a try. Know a teen that has an interest? or a friend? maybe a spouse? Bring them out an let them shoot. These guns are extremely accurate out to about 30 yards, so there will be 40 targets @ 32 yards and closer for this class. Best of all the first time is free. So bring someone out.

All other classes as normal...including Pistol.

Cost for the shoot is the normal 5.00

Sight in on lanes 1 2 3 and 4

Sight in starts at 8:00am and match starts at 9:15am

Registration at the Airgun shed at the top of the course

Questions? Doug-267 471-2380 cell- if I don't answer leave message and I will return all calls.

Club Address:

713 Creek rd. Brookhaven Pa.19015

Mins. from Rt.I-95 and I 476 (Blue Route)

Doug,

I expect to have a new junior with me on Sunday.   I believe I did mention this to you before but I wanted to cover the bases.   Looking forward to the shoot!

I'd like to thank everyone that came out yesterday enduring the heat and humidity to shoot some Field Target. This was the 3rd shoot held on the "Original" or upper course since  bringing it back from the weeds. We had 12 competitors shoot in 7 classes. Considering that there were a couple other competitions happening this weekend, and the heat, this was a good turnout for an August shoot. HFT had the largest turnout with 7 entries in 3 classes. Tom Ryan turned in high score in HFT-PCP with a 53/60 from his Thomas field target gun besting Doug Bruestle's 51/60 shot with a Brocock Bantam. Tied for 3rd was Max Bruestle and Craig Evans. HFT-Piston was another good battle with Jim Wilcox beating Dale Benson by 2 targets. The closest class of the day was WFTF-PCP where after 4 hours in the heat Rich Basset's 49 (Air Arms Evo 2) beat Mike Harris's 48 (Styer). The most impressive score of the day was turned in by Jay Hannon in WFTF -Piston with a 56 after hitting the bonus target on lane 15. Jay forgive me if I got your last name wrong, you took your scorecard with you (as I would have also). This was not a course designed for the standing shooter as Stan found out in a rough way, but Stan tells me he will be joining us in HFT at the next shoot. Al Otter was the lone Open class competitor with a nice 51/60. Craig Evans doubled up and shot HFT -Pistol and taking into account the 6 new "longer" shots a 38/60 is a great pistol score. Craig also was one of 3 guys to hit the bonus target @ lane 15,doing it with a pistol is pretty impressive. Dale Benson and Jay Hannon were the others to score the bonus point. The "bonus target" was a fun shot everyone got one attempt at on the final lane. Quality Targets have a ACE of SPADES Gamo faceplate playing card sized target with the Spade cut from the center-the kill zone being 3/4" at the widest spot. Placed at 27 yards I guesstamated the Troyer at about 40. Nice shooting guys! Thanks again to all who attended.

Very nice match and thanks to Doug for all the work he puts in on the course and the targets.  Many more longer shots this match.  I never did find that easy lane I was looking for.

Doug, Appreciate the expedient Match report which is a big help in promoting our game in my opinion.  We all look forward to see how everyone is doing even if we can't make it ourselves.  Great Job!

Thanks for the great work on making this course viable again!   The extra work to place 4 single-shot targets over 15 lanes requires some serious dedication.   It also makes for a wake-up call to us habit people who simply wind up and shoot the second shot on the same target (after we have seen where the first went) except it doesn't count.  Don't ask me how I know.

The little trophies are very nice!

Thanks guys, much appreciated. Rich had a great time shooting with you Sunday, and Craig thanks for the encouragement on the course. Now that I've got the weeds behind me I want to get back to making  more improvements. Bill if you live within driving distance of one of our shoots, I'd like to invite you to try our course sometime.

Thanks again

Doug B.
