Weather looks excellent for Saturday the 15th ...  70 to 80 degrees from 10am to 2pm and a little breezy with max winds peaking out at 15 mph. The Course usually handles the wind quite well and we have plenty of shade from the sun with the exception of the forced position lane.

The match was originally planned for a 50 shot match with a 35 Troyer.  The day before the match our weather report was calling of 15mpg winds late Saturday morning into the afternoon. So I decided to lower the Troyer to a 30 to offset the high winds.  The weather turned out much better than forecasted and although we did have winds they were much lower than expected. A couple hours after the match ended we did get some very high gusts but overall it was a great day to shoot. We had 6 shooters including myself compete in the match with two Novice.  We had one shooter drive up from Ct and two join us from Massachusetts.

Leo Gonzales drove up and picked up Chas Di Capua on the way. John Erol made the trip up alone from the Cape. The four Affta shooters were all in different classes. Some pretty good scores were turned in by all shooters. Next year I will try to get a earlier date in May or June in a effort to avoid Fathers day which my last four or five annual  match dates have  fallen on. John Erol was high shooter of the day with a excellent score of 46 / 50 and took home the shooters purse of $30 followed by Chas with a 45 and Leo with a 43. Our two Novice shooters shot 12 targets for 24 shots. My Granddaughter Mia Grace Kelly scored 20/24 and her friend Andrew James shot 16 / 24 as a first time shooter.

Andrew James   Novie    BSA Scorpian   Bushnell Banner  CPH 7.9           16/24

Thanks to all that came so far to share a delightful day of shooting and cook out. See you next weekend at the Crosman All American.
