Tom, the Siegen Inn is a great place. It's very clean & has good prices. Also very close to the course .Several THAGC members will be staying there. This will be my second stay with them.

Siegen lane has the Siegen Inn and a Holidy Inn Express. Bluebonnet has Hyatt Place that’s nice but a little further away.

Steve, when Chris and I stayed there in 2026 it was the cleanest motel I ever stayed at. Brushing my teeth I did the white glove test on the mirror above the sink.(minus the glove).  No dust whatsoever.

No breakfast only coffee.

The mgr at the desk said they don't do breakfast but concentrate on cleanliness.

That's good to hear and know - I'll just have to do the power carb fest at the nearest Waffle House lol -

EDIT: looking forward to seeing you and the rest of the gang - maybe a frosty barley pop or two?

IHOP is right down the road from that hotel and there is a Waffle House just a bit further  😀

Steve, the NC gang is staying there as well as a Texas cowboy and I believe a NYC kind of guy.

We all usually hit a restaurant/ bar for food and libation after each day.

There is a speciality appitizer I love. Alligator shrimp cheesecake!

Unusual delightful taste. Not a pastety, just shaped like a cake slice...

Yeah, well I just hope I can get steered to some good red beans & rice, boudan, eats hard to find in Cashville -

But i'll bet that shouldn't be too hard to find in Baton Rouge -

See you & the gang there!

Chris,

I will make sure and bring my tank to the range Thursday so you can fill up. As far as needing help, I’m just going to be running to places like Sams to get drinks and things like that so not really much to do there.

Can I assume the Gunslynger will be under the Pyramid air fun shoot? Do they have other events planned?

Thanks!

Speaking of where to stay...

I was told camping (RV) was available near or at the event. I've sent a few emails but can't seem to get a response on what campground is supporting this event. $25 a night was mentioned. Anyone able to help me out? I don't want to drive 12 hrs to find I have no place to set up.

The campground is right next to the range. It is actually part of the park where the range is at. I believe Jason Hoggatt is the contact at BREC but let me double check for you.

So Jason Hoggatt is the contact. His email is jhoggatt@brec.org. Just let him know you are inquiring about camping for the Cajun Sprint Classic.  The fee is $25/day.  There is no sewer hookup out there though. Water and electricity only.

Yep, I've emailed Jason a couple of times. Maybe he's just busy.

To stay at the park would be awesome. Hopefully he will get back to me soon so I can reserve a space.

Thanks for the info Jennifer.

I'll let him know that you have been trying to contact him. Maybe his junk filter snagged your messages or something.
