Marauder Stock modified for Night Vision scope
I modified my Marauder stock for night vision shooting using an ATN night/day vision scope. Because the scope eats batteries, I hollowed the stock out to hold a 20,000 mAh battery pack. I always hated the aft grip of the Gen1 stock, so I decided to move it forward. The scope requires an exact eve relief and very high cheek to align, so I added to the height of the comb. Then to cut weight down, I shaved a LOT of wood from the back and shortened the forend. It has been a great stock for its purpose. I bought a new scope and this is no longer needed, but it was a fun project.
Nice job on the stock. I have an ATN on my Cricket .22 and it's a really nice setup, although a bit heavy. I'm always surprised at how good the NV is on it with the slightly larger illuminator while still being a very good say scope. Scope does eat batteries though.
What kind of scope did you replace it with? Is it a day night scope as well?
