When you have several different calibers of guns and the same gun can use multiple weights of pellets and may also be pellet picky how do you folks store your pellets - ? pics, ideas etc....

More storage than organization. Each shelf holds a specific caliber.

Of course, the wife asks "how many pellets do you need"?

HA!  Fooled her into believing you NEED pellets!

Mine are all in a drawer,  in a quadrant config.

Cheap 177 up front, expensive 117 in the rear, same with 22 on the other side.

Back of the drawer is a similar strategy to top shelf items.

Shaken/dented pellets stay somewhere else for plinking.

I do believe I saw this configuration (picture) in my dreams - pellet envy!

You are to be commended - now one step further - since you can't take that whole cabinet to the range, even if the mrs. would like you to, how do you carry, store, manage multiple pellet tins at the range, if you do at all?

I am fortunate to have a 10-meter range in my basement and for longer range distances I just walk out the basement door to 3-acres of land (outside city limits). When I do travel to a match somewhere, I simply put the tins of pellets alongside the guns in foam-lined / hard pistol or rifle cases.  For the Pelican-style cases, I've plucked out cubes of foam to store pellet tins during transport.

I have been considering a dedicated rifle/pelican case with pluck and pick to accommodate the tins - great minds.

Before I started this thread I went this route: Started with my tool box gun maintenance station which has drawers = L18" x W19" x D2.75"
then I put this spice shelf insert in the drawers = https://smile.amazon.com/Lynk-Professional-430414DS-Organizer-Metallic/dp/B07PGQNFFW/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=spice+rack+drawer&qid=1566386832&s=gateway&sr=8-6

one drawer for each caliber I use with four sorting trays on each insert.

however good this storage is for the "shop" it doesn't pick up and go to the range neatly.

This is basically the same as a Pelican rifle case, only much less expensive:

I have one of these for my air pistol silhouette case. Mine holds two pistols (Daisy 747 and Baikal IZH-46) and room for pellet tins, eye blinder, tools, oil, pens/pencils, batteries, etc.

Congratulations on having so much space and the patience for round hole cutting!

Having been drawn here by a notification, I might as well give an update.

The 15-20 random tins of pellets I shoot from have been transferred to a polycarbonate tray/organizer salvaged from a scrap refrigerator. It hides nicely near the back door, way up on a shelf. The clear container makes it easier to find specific pellets without having to take the whole tray down.

The rest are in a fat 50 can pushed to the back of a safe, because a safe can never weigh too much.

@cavedweller I would love to have something like this! Are there plans available?

No plans, just made things up as I went.

Side note to the creation process... i saw this kinda sorta pellet holder on one of AOA's videos, so i paused the video and snapped a pic and started piecing things together.

Better to make all the holes with a hole saw slightly bigger than the biggest pellet tins, as once it's all together it is a pain to take it apart.

It really needs one more shelf... my idea was one shelf per most common major calibers = .30 / .25 / .22 / /20 / .177

When i built this i didn't have any .20 airguns. of course now i do.

Originally i was going to hang this at eye level, but then my wall space became scarce so it sits on the floor under my drop down shooting bench. I had also intended to stain or paint it... but meh...life happens so it sits as it is.

Heaviest pellets rest at the bottom for weight stability and are also used the least as .177 and .20 are my HFT pellets.
