I converted this 850 air magnum about 10 yrs ago as per instructions by Roald and a few others around back then but i just thought id post some pix, its been a super gun, i built 3 of them and this was my favorite so i kept it, still holds air forever and shoots 14.3 gr at around 900-920 for over 60 shots per fill, it is as accurate as any of my pcp guns and the shot count is great... the project was a blast and id recomend the experience of converting an 850 to anyone with a serious airgun addiction, like me, just be meticulous about drilling straight holes and cleaning them up good and youll be fine... thanks for looking and PEACE,     B.

I can't choose between the baby shark joke... or sharknado...

Congratulations on your creative woodworking, or my condolences on your sense of style.

Both. Yeah...

How does the pad stay in place? Magnets?

Is that laminate?  Wenge?

What tank is that? To what pressure do you fill it? Those are both probably dumb questions, I know.

I just screw it back in, i rarely use the 2nd mag or need to tear the gun down so dont get into it much, not sure what kind of wood but wenge sounds familiar, it fills to 200 bar and i think its a 22ci tank from js airman amd i think it looks sweet...

I imagine the stock is built to very specific ergonomics, which outranks cosmetics 10 fold. The latter being subjective and a factor preyed upon by marketing executives and salesmen who do not use the product. If it shoulders and acquires a target quickly in the environment it was designed for, then its perfect . I think it looks sleek and I rather like the carved wood trigger box.

I did mine last year. I find the ninja tank to be a decent solution. I don't have a chroni. I use the tank without any adjustments to the regulator. I'm into accurate plinking at 20 yards The cheap scope should be replaced next year. I shoot 120 or so shots and then 120 pumps brings it up to almost 3000 psi.

Old post….but felt I should mention things, but I’m a guy NOT after power.

IF you are after power, no better way than converting toy HPA. Even 850psi air output will show a bit of power gain over co2.

---------

Loved my first 850...hated the 88gr. disposable co2 tanks.

So I converted it to small (9oz. or under) paintball tanks that I could easily have refilled (a lot cheaper). Loved it until my local co2 tank filler and local bulk-tank filler closed doors.

Then I though, “Why not air that I can fill myself?”

I ended up hating the results. Lucky for me, another shooter thought it was great and offered to buy it.

Missed it for several years...really was the best repeater co2 rifle out there.

AirgunDepot has a small run of a “special edition” a few years back that ran on a dual 12gr. adapter. They basically borrowed barrels/stocks from Walter PCP’s, put them on a 850 action, and used a 12gr adapter.

Other than screwing the Rocker1 LDC on the threads, I had nothing to do with it.

COULD be easily changed to HPA...the stock has room, still have the thread adapter (somewhere).

That’s not going to happen.
