I'm helping a young man (20) work on his Mendoza I found for him for $57. Nice little gun for him to have for a first pellet gun. The trigger spring could be used on a clothes pin. Too strong. Otherwise a decent trigger. I wound this one from .032 music wire. Hopefully cuts the trigger weight in half. I cross drilled a small diameter steel rod. Then chucked it. After the spring was wound I just cut the rod with a hacksaw to free the spring. The spindle drive was disconnected  to wind the spring by hand. Manually turning the chuck. Should work.

Thank you, I've since learned to relieve the stress in the spring by baking at 350 for a while.
