I have a GC2 And would like to dress it up. I don't have a lathe.
My idea is 1 1/8" stock about 1 3/4" long.
1 1/2" of the 1 3/4 "turned down to ? with a O Ring and grove to give me .986+ (slight inference fit)
the center of cap bored about 1/2 " x 1 1/8 " deep
that leaves about 1/4" lip with a groove or two for grip ?
i would send a rough drawing.
Any takers? cost?

I would have volunteered for this one if we still weren't in the middle of trying to get our workshop set back up again after moving 1,000 miles from NY to TN. Lathe is still out of commission until we can get an electrician in to run lines around the garage. Also still trying to clean all the rust off everything (things did not travel well...), so a little ways to go yet.

That sucks!
Fluid Film (lanolin) in the spray can acts really well, but feels a bit like earwax after a couple months.
I bought some deeply hot blued setup tools from a seller with "GunSite" in his name, located reasonably near Gunsite.
No reason not to think the tools came from the gunsmith shop at Colonel Cooper's school.
I would be mortified at rust, earwax is fine, and it dissolves in lube anyway.
RJ, as far as your shiny round thing?
I only come here to brag 😉 and not really bucking for airgun work... plus I'm not really a machinist, just a rampant tool-hoarder.
That's all a joke, except the rust. Nothing funny about rust!
My lathe is awaiting a VFD installation and extra 240v circuit to support it. Yeah... more wires... thought I was done for a while.
Drum switch= fireball+sizzle!
Because fire is good! (until it isn't)
