Airgun spring compressor
I ended up needing a spring compressor to take a rws Diana 54 apart. That gun is pain to work on. Anyway, it was easy after I made this. Guess I made it a little fancier than it needed to be, but want to be able to use it on other (or any) spring gun in the future. The 54 had a large air tube, so I figure I will just make split bushing to fit smaller gun as needed. The acme threaded rod and nut came off a damaged C-clamp. I cut the threaded part of the clamp off and turned it down to a stepped bushing that I pressed into the aluminum block. Made the tube length adjustable with quick remove push pins. Had to make a special piece to fit aft end of the gun. chris
The Black parts are delrin. Figured it was the best thing to not mark up the guns. I made to handle for the hammer out of metal so I could try out a new to me knurling tool. It worked out pretty good I thought. I like to do projects to force me to learn more. Like the hammer.. I spend 5 hour on it. Don't tell know one....lol The big metal block was a part I had to make to fit the end piece of the diana 54. It was made to be removable and only needed on the one gun.
