Sherwood Airgunners of Steubenville Ohio Field Target Shoot Results from 5-16 2021
The first Shoot of the 2021 Field Target season at Sherwood Forest was held today under wonderful weather conditions with little to no wind and bright and sunny sky’s for most all of the day. Twenty two shooters showed up to test their skills on the course as we have just completed six additional lanes to our existing eighteen that we have had in the past. The idea being that we can change the course a bit for every shoot. The course was set fairly easy at 28.8 Troyer with only 10 targets over 40 yards and the scores showed that with many of the shooters turning in some very good scores!! WFTF had four shooters with Tyler Patner topping the list with a 57/60 followed by Jeff Paddock with a 54/60 and Larry Justins placing third with a 37/60 Open class had one shooter this time with Keith Walters turning in a very nice score of 57/60. WFTF piston also only had one shooter , Dan Putz who shot a 36/60 Our lone youth shooter Lucas Marusiak has moved from Hunter class to WFTF this season and he turned in a respectable 36/60 also. Hunter piston only had two shooters this time but it was very close shooting between Al Duster and Eric Jones both shooting 29/60 forcing a shoot off for first with Al coming out on top!! Hunter P.C.P. was heavily contested with 14 entries, Thomas Himes Shot the “match high score” of 58/60 with Doug Cunningham in second with a great score of 57/60 and Dennis Himes in third with a 56/60.
All and all everyone seemed to enjoy the day and the new section of course and the great weather !! Also we would like to say “Welcome” to Jim Miller and Justin Roberts, first time shooters at Sherwood Airgunners, Hope to see you both back soon!!
