Scott please post a pic of your new springer crazy ass setup. Its Impressive and I seen it but nobody else has.
It's still my QB58. In preparation for airline travel to England, I decided to shorten my rifle to fit in a case that was legal on most all airlines.
Before the chop, I was at 12 lbs w/scope, which was a good weight for my 12fpe rifle. Post chop, I was down to 11 lbs with scope. And that seemed detrimental so I decided to get the weight back up to as much as I could stand. And make some of that weight functional.
Jeff, what you saw at the CASA match was 21 lb. - too much. Last match I was at 18 lbs. - better. I might be at next Sundays CASA match with some more changes. I'm also experimenting with placement of the additional mass and where it might have the best effect. I made parts/bars/weights of aluminum and identical weights of steel that I've been swapping.
I've been having fun with my 3D printer. I plan on continuing to experiment for the next couple months so it will be changing. Here's a couple of pics:
That is a lot differnet than what I saw with the smaller side wheel and magnifying glass setup you were using. Really neat stuff to me. I did not know you had a 3D printer. If you shoot the worlds won't there be a weight limit on the rig? I still think you would do better served with a destroked 54 to play with. I did not know we was shooting next sunday. I thought that shoot got scrapped for the christmas shoot so I will have to look into that. If there is a shoot I will bring my springer. I haven't shot it in a few months. I am finally falling for the ease of the PCP. How long is the barrel now and did you lose power doing that?

No WFTF weight limit as far as I know. I think some WFTF shooters are running 20+ pound rigs (pounds, not foot-pounds!).
Barrel is still 10.5" long. The muzzle weight was the only thing that got shortened. I ran out of my best pellets, and lost 1/2fpe when I had to switch to a later batch. I spaced up the spring by another 1/4" and got all the power back.
