Save the Date! Republic of Texas State Championship and Grand Prix October 22-24, 2021

Hello all, 
We will be hosting the Republic of Texas (RoT) Grand Prix FT match at our club, Arlington Sportsman Club, October 22-24, 2021.  The format will be similar/the same as past RoT’s with all AAFTA classes available and awards for each of those classes with enough entries. Entry fee will include lunch for both days, and goodie bags. Please make plans to attend soon, as I need to order t-shirts.

Entry fee will be between $65-$85 for all matches.  We will solidify the cost soon and put up a link for registration too.

Rifle FT Match: 112 shots (56 on Saturday, and 56 on Sunday) – All AAFTA classes 
Pistol FT Match: 40 shots (Friday afternoon) – All AAFTA classes 
Rules: AAFTA safety and shooting rules apply. For more information, please refer to the AAFTA Handbook:  http://www.aafta.org/uploads/1/2/7/6/127666620/2021_aafta_official_field_target_rules-final__2_.pdf  
Eye Protection is required at all times. 
SAFE GUN HANDLING will be strictly enforced at all times! 
Rangefinders are not allowed on the competition course at any time. 
Match Director reserves the right to combine classes with low entries 
Protests/disputes must be immediately taken to the Match Director, whose decision will be final.
For concession requests based on medical/health conditions, please contact the Match Director at least 48 hours prior to the event. 

For special dietary requests, please notify the Match Director at time of registration
Community air tanks will be available at the sight-in range and on the courses at every match.

Awards (per AAFTA class): 
1st Place (at least 3 shooters) 
2nd Place (at least 5 shooters) 
3rd Place (7 or more shooters) 

Schedule: Friday

10:00AM-1:30PM – Check-in & Sight-in

1:30PM – 1:45PM – Shooter’s Meeting 
2:00PM – 4:00PM – Pistol Match

2:00PM-6:00PM Sight-in on Range D

Schedule: Saturday
7:00AM – 8:30AM – Check-in & Sight-in 
8:30AM – 9:00AM – Shooter’s Meeting 
9:00AM – 12:00 PM – Rifle Match 
1:00PM – Lunch 
2:30 PM – Raffle/Auction

There is still time to sign up and there are many spots left.  We will follow COVID protocols by providing masks and hand sanitizer for those that wish to use them.  We don’t have a limit on entries, so go ahead and sign up, because you won’t be disappointed in the course of fire.

Morning everyone,

There are 2 weeks left to sign up for the ROT on October 22-24 before registration fee goes up to $95.  Here are the latest registration numbers:

We have room for about 10 more shooters before I will be forced to close registration.  If you want to shoot with us, please sign up soon.

Here are some updates about the match:

Pistol match Friday and Saturday and Sunday Rifle matches

Catered lunches from Jason’s Deli and Rosa’s Mexican Cafe on Saturday and Sunday 

T-shirts and swag bags

Raffle items including Hawke Scope, Air Venturi Avenger, insulated cups, and JSB pellets
