Hi Guys!!

It's time for our first match of 2019!!  We are now in our Match weekend format.  The scorecards will be available starting from 0830 on Saturday morning and through Sunday at 2pm.  I'll be around both Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon but you don't have to wait on me to shoot.  If you want company, I'll be starting matches at 0830 on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday so if you can make it at those times I'll see you then  But if you want to shoot at another time, just come get a scorecard and send me a picture of your scores.  You can either PayPal your fees or get up with me later.  Match fees are $5 per person, per match.  Pay $10 and shoot the course as many times as you like.  I'll record your best score.  Or shoot in different classifications. It's all about having a good time and getting better with our rifles.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call.  2 five 6 - two zero one - one one 46.

See you then!!  Don’t forget to like us on Facebook.   https://www.facebook.com/eastalabamahft/

Wow, what a weekend!!  The weather was BEAUTIFUL down here in Alabama.  Both Saturday and Sunday had bluebird weather.  Highs in the 60's.  Light winds on Saturday morning and almost no wind on Sunday afternoon.

The Match Weekend Format seems to be working well.  We had more shooters and more visitors dropping by.  I was able to be at both matches this month and had the opportunity to introduce the sport to a couple of new folks so we'll see what happens.

So Saturday's match started out at 0830.  It was cool to begin with but ended up beautiful with sunny skies an 2-4 mph switching winds.  Danny Ayers came down for the match.  It was great to see Danny again and he showed us all how it was done with a 51/60.

The Sunday afternoon match began at 1400.  Perfect weather, little to no wind.  Today was Johnny Johnson's day and he shot the high score of the day, 45/60.  We had a new shooter on deck, Mr. Jim Hilco.  It was great to meet Jim and we look forward to seeing him next time.

We will continue with the format.  It seems to be working well for us.  Please see the attached files for the scores and shooter's equipment.  Please see our Facebook Page for pictures/video.  They will be posted ASAP.   East Alabama HFT on Facebook

Also, there is an explanation on the Merit Award System within HFT at the bottom of the Scores PDF.   Essentially it is a measure on how you compare and are able to improve in your division or across divisions.  Our guys and girls really like it.

Come on out and shoot.  Bring what you have.  We have mats so there's no reason no too.  See you next month!!
