Conditions for the August Good Ole Boys match weren't perfect, but they were pretty darn close as evidenced by 3 different personal best scores to win each class. It is August, after all, so definitely warm and muggy but not as oppressive as recent weeks have been. The lanes were very dark early due to the heavy overcast/fog which slowly gave way to broken sun but with very little wind.
It was Brad Troyer's first visit to Roz's Hollow in a bit and he was back with a vengeance darn near clearing the course with a 64 ex 66, only missing 2 kneelers. Brad took home WFTF and Match high score honors. Jeff Hale continues his strong performances this year with another personal best to win Open class ahead of some tough competition. And with yet another personal best score, Brent Browning took the Hunter class honors.
Roz has been working very hard getting the course ready for the Tennessee State match next month. If you have a chance, give him a shout out for his efforts and do make sure to come join us for the match on 9/11!
