What a month its been with so many fires, 100* + heat along with daily winds !! ..... Well Sunday we had NONE OF IT with nary a wisp of smoke haze, 70-80* temp and calm winds ... NICE !
Our morning started out with a few at the gate eager in getting the course set up with more of the crew arriving shortly there after making for a speedy set up.
Along with our typical crazy painted targets were the clubs 8 NEW targets donated by Dave C ( Thank you Dave ) all having fresh unmolested paint jobs.
Having figured we would get the typical valley winds course set up was a modest / difficult lay out with quite a few small KZ's inside 20 yards, not a lot better with modest KZ sizes mid range having 1/2 dozen or so past 50 yards rounded out todays 60 shot venue. The real stinker was lane 12 with 2 bell targets at IIRC @ 35 & 55 yards assigned as a KNEELING or OFFHAND only which was hit @ 50% of the time looking over the score cards.
We had 1 new shooter join in the fun today Steve D, who quickly showed while new to FT had the rifle skills to play along side the clubs top shooters.
O' the mention of wind .. well it never materialized leaving tho shooters with good dope & skill to get after KNOCKING DOWN targets leaving for the most part the pristine new targets paint jobs intact .. thanks guys !

Thank you to ALL who came out for the SVFTC August FT match ... we hope you had a Great time & until next month ( IONE ) Practice practice practice because RUMOR HAS IT, we may put on a semi WFTF format event next month having you all shoot ONLY 1 shot per target and run threw the course twice ( Likely a 50 shot match )
