A great start to the 2025 Delaware County Field & Stream Association airgun field target calendar. We had a lucky weather day, missing the forecasted breezy day with intermittent showers. Good to see new shooters at DCFSA - applause for Joe, Mark and Toby! Good to see Mike back with us, dusting off the cobwebs.

This match we returned to the ‘field target forest’ after the 2024 lead reclamation. There were several new lanes, and many of the old ones were ‘remodeled’ during the 2024 reclamation. Most lanes still had marking posts with flagging tape leftover from the remodeling - interesting wind indicators. There was a good mix of target difficulty, overall not too hard & not too easy. Thanks to all for ideas to make the next match even better!

Next match on Sunday May 4th - hope to see you there!

Thanks to Mark and George, and all others that helped set the course, it was a GREAT course.

Nothing with a high "a$$ pucker factor" but still challenging. Those shots across ravines / gullys are among the hardest.

Some pictures for your entertainment (in the usual order of lane layout and then details of the targets):

PXL 20250406 155700441
PXL 20250406 155728549

Things to note:

1.- Standing and kneelers of medium difficulty.

2.- Targets spread on both sides of the lane, forcing the shooter to "shift and shimmy"

3.- Color coded targets for each lane.

4.- A WHOLE BUNCH of targets with a slight elevation (7° to 17°) very punishing, and it reminded me a lot of the WFTC's at Lisbon.

Glad to see DCF&S back into "forest FT", even if the Welsh would protests, LOL!

Thanks again, keep well and shoot straight!
