DCPA August 23rd is a go! 60 shots. Course will probably be the hardest in our region this season! Fees: $15 If you wish to shoot another rifle/pistol there's no additional cost. Covid restrictions mean only 1 shooter per lane so you keep your own score. Masks must be worn when not shooting but can be removed when in one's shooting lane.

Strict gun safety must be adhered to. All rifles/pistols must be cased at all times. Only when your addressing your shooting lane shall you remove rifle/pistol. If you don't use a case, muzzle and trigger group must be covered. All weapons must be pointed down range at all times!

Sight in range opens at 8am and match begins at 10am. If you want to arrive later or shoot the course twice, that's ok.

Hope to see you all there!

Fellow shooters,

I just got an email today from the board of DCPA and because of the Covid restrictions, no out of State shooters can attend this Sundays match. Right up until now they had no issue but there's a new directive and they are now enforcing this rule.

My humblest apologies to everyone that had plans to travel. The match is still going ahead but only for NY residents.

How will it be enforced?

I know it sucks John. The only thing I'll say is as this is my first year as a match director and with DCPA giving me their full support for the FT program, I don't want to be put in a position to jeopardize this in any way.

It's very tough trying to hold a match during these Covid days. Rules changed again midweek which banned all out of State shooters so only NY residents could compete. Most guys that come to my club(DCPA) are from surrounding States so I knew numbers would be low.

As a result, including myself, we had only four shooters. Got to make do with what's going on right?!

Big thanks to those that did travel! Toughish course. Hot. 88F A little right to left wind but nothing more than right edge was needed.

I missed my first shot! Stander. But went clean from then on finishing with a 59/60

Paul Cray WFTF Thomas/March 59/60

Tom Holland WFTF Thomas/Kahles

52/60

Nathan Thomas WFTF FWB 800/Bushnell

51/60

Thomas Wade Hunter PCP AA 500 Bushnell

38/60
