For the past 8 years I have belong to a black powder shooting club called the Tomahawks located mid way between York and Lancaster Pa. I have acquired a few air rifles during that time. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing an air gun shoot on the woods walk. A woods walk is a path with a series of metal gongs/targets. We typically shoot off hand with iron sights. I am thinking we would use a minimum of 10-12 targets/lanes. We could then re-shoot the same targets. Target\ Lanes would be set up concurrent with current woods walk targets. There would be three power levels, .177, .22 and greater than .22. Greater than 22 would use the woods walk targets, lower power would be spinners, traditional field targets and any thing else I come up with. I would have to clear this with the club. Anyone interested?

Sounds similar to the way we shot archery field target and very similar to a golf course layout. Safety is the main consideration of course. I wish you well..

Depending on the exact location, it is a 2+ hrs. drive for me.
The Susquehanna valley has beautiful spots, so I would seriously consider going.

Off hand and Iron sights, sounds like a LOT of fun!

Add a ML airgun, and it is a "blast" LOL!

Keep us posted!

It sounds like a perfect opportunity to run an AAFTA field target match.  Before you set a date check for other matches within a couple hours drive so there are no conflicts.
