The AAFTA MD State championship will be held at the at DIFTA, IWLAWAC chapter, 26430 Mullinix Mill Road, Mt Airy MD 21771 on Saturday May 18.
This is a 72 shot match. The course is 12 lanes, with one kneeling and one offhand lane, with three targets per lane shot twice. The Troyer value for the course is 29.92; with six targets > 40T, seven targets with 0.375”or 0.5” kill zones and ten targets set out at >= 40 yards.
WE NEED A FEW HELPERS AT 8:30 AM TO SET OUT STRINGS. The sight in range will be open from 9:00 – 9:50. Mandatory shooters and safety meeting and squad assignments at 9:50. Match starts at 10:00 am sharp.
Match fees are $10 for IWLAWAC members and $15 for guests. We need a minimum of 4 shooters to run the match, SO PLEASE SIGNUP IN ADVANCE. If we don’t reach a quorum by 10:00 pm on Thursday 5/16 we will post a cancellation notice that evening.
The weather for Saturday does not look like very promising and the forecast probability and intensity of precipitation has been increasing during the past day.
If there are enough shooters committed to coming to the match under the rain, I have no problems running it.

Due to inclement weather and no shooters committing to the match (understandably), The match is for now cancelled.
The next regular match is scheduled for Sunday, June 9.
We will see if we can reschedule the cancelled match. But, definitely, not within the next two weeks.
