30th Annual Cajun Spring Classic will be held April 26-28, 2019
Here's the registration for the 2019 Cajun Spring Classic. Let me know if you have any questions or need anything. Registration will be limited to 90 people this year. Hope to see you all there.
Can hardly wait!
Hope the crawfish boil happens. They taste like lobster, but on a smaller scale.
Great time to socialize.
I know a lot of folks like to know who is coming and where those folks are coming from so data geek has been at work. You can see a list and everything of who has entered, classes, and a few other things here. It currently updates once a day but hopefully I can get it updating more
Edit:
Updated Cajun Spring Classic registration report. The previous version may not work anymore due to updates with my Office365 account at work.
Bill,
For payment you can either send directly or I can send you and invoice. Just let me know what you would like for me to do. We just ask you send the payment via the friends and family option so PayPal doesn’t charge us a fee.
For the hotel, we were trying to work with one to give us a group rate but they are dragging their feet and will not get back with us unfortunately. I know several of the other folks like to stay at the Siegen Inn on Siegen Lane.
As for airport, Baton Rouge would be the easiest to fly into but it tends to cost more to fly into there over New Orleans. Then of course if you fly into New Orleans you have to drive an hour and a half to get to Baton Rouge.
Jennifer, Payment completed thru PayPal this morning.
For those interested in RV spots, there are spots right next to the range. There is only electricity available and pretty much that's it (no pad or anything like that for the RV). The cost is $35/day. If you want to reserve a spot you need to contact Cody Albright at BREC. His number is 225-272-9200 ext 559 and his email address is Austin_Albright@brec.org
Jennifer, Any possibility listing in your "Who's has registered chart" the class and preferred equipment those that are registering? Just info that many shooters like to see.
If it is too much trouble ….. no problem. By the way you have doing a excellent job promoting your event, and answering questions. Obviously very experienced using spread sheets.
The classes are on the chart and it is interactive so if you click on say WFTF, the list will filter down to those registered in WFTF. I’ll see about adding the equipment on the list

I have added rifle and pistol information to the grid with participant names. You will of course have to scroll to the right to see it.
I assume paying at the event is fine since it was an option correct. I like to hand cash when possible.
Oh yeah completely fine.
What is the address for the shoot
The range is located at the Airline Highway State Fairgrounds Park at 17200 Airline Hwy Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70809. There will be banners hanging on the fence right on Airline Highway. Right now they are orange but I might get some different ones made up and put right on the road to make it easier for folks to find us. Once you turn off of Airline highway you will follow the little dirt road to the back where we are

Please note there may be a problem with the email address listed above for Austin Albright. Mine bounced back. Please advise.

Do any of you shoot with Robert Droege from San Antonio? He is on the wait list for the match and we had a spot open up. I've been trying to get in touch with him about the spot with no luck. I've emailed several times and left voice messages for him and I really hate to move on to the next person in the list before I've gotten a yes or no from him about the spot but I also don't want to wait too much longer to offer it to the next person on the list.

Jennifer,
Are you the match director or is some else for the 2019 Cajun Classic? I need the e-mail address for whom ever.
Thanks,
Pat

Maybe a bit late in responding, but I just wanted to convey to everyone at Bayou Airgun Club a big THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for a fantastic weekend of shooting on two difficult courses. It may have been hard to find the targets and range distances, due to darkness and deep shadows, but it was a hoot to shoot!
Getting together with old friends, putting faces to names, and finally meeting folks face-to-face that I have corresponded with over time, was well worth the trip. It was most enjoyable shooting with Pat on Saturday and Joe (what a character!) on Sunday. The entire weekend was a lot of fun and gives me another venue to want to revisit in the future. It was also my first exposure to Cajun cuisine at both the range and various restaurants in the area (even the airport!), and my mouth is still watering as I think about it. Good stuff!
I can't say enough about the ladies at registration for their helpfulness and enthusiastic attitudes and especially to Jennifer for all the emailed correspondence and responses. Carey did an amazing job as match director and MC. He kept smiles on our faces with his comments and banter. I can only imagine what it is like to shoot with him; probably constant laughter. For the unsung heroes who set the courses, you guys did a great job! If your ears were ringing at anytime during the weekend, my apologies for my thoughts. It would be nice to find out exactly what the Troyer factors were on each course.
Bayou Airgun Club, you guys get an A+ in my book. Thanks again!
Mark
Thanks for posting the scores here. I knew I was forgetting to put them somewhere because I'm trying to write up the big report and get all the data from everyone's score cards entered.
Hope to see you all in October for Nationals.
