Remarks:
It was a muggy day to shoot in the woods. We had 25 shooters coming from CT, MA, ME, RI and NY. It is our most attended match this year at Rockville. This was the last match before the RFG Grand Prix in August.
Bill had an unfortunate mishap with his rifle after his second lane and was not able to finish the match. Hope you can get your rig fixed for the upcoming Finger Lakes Grand Prix.
We had one cold line for a hard to reset Skunk target. We will replace the string with a less stretchy one for the Grand Prix.
We had a tie score for Hunter Piston between Jim W and Jay O. The shoot off was held on Lane 1. Jim won the tie breaker with 1 out for hits versus 0 out of 4 in the sitting position.
Thank you all for coming and helping clean up after the match. Hotdogs and chips were served for all who stayed after the match.
Next match: RFG Grand Prix August 4th-6th

Airgun Field Target - New England Field Target League (nefieldtargetleague.org)
@gonzav Leo, I wasn't shooting my Thomas. I was shooting a BSA R10se
with an Anthlon Scope. An equipment problem for sure for both hit the ground but it was my neglect to latch the case that caused it. My third rifle DNF 2006. Shit happens! Glad it wasn't my Thomas! Although only a scope mount became vertically misaligned.
@bill-day
Good to hear that it was not your Thomas. Will see you this weekend at the Finger Lakes GP.
