Match Date: 2023 December 10, Sunday – Rockville Fish & Game Club Field Target Match
Address: Fish & Game Rd, Vernon, CT (I-84 Exit 67, South on Mile Hill Rd)
Location: Clubhouse Course Gate A (First Gate on Left)
Continental breakfast and lunch will be served.
Rifle Match - 40 shots - 20 targets – 10 lanes. Two shots per target – 4 shots per lane (45 yards max)
2 shots on near target will be standing and 2 shots on far targets will be shot kneeling.
If you have a personal standing rifle rest or tall bipod, you may bring it with you from lane to lane to rest or range find.
You are welcome to shoot the regular 60 shot rifle match, but it will not be counted for the standing/kneeling match.
9:00 AM Registration/Open Practice
9:45 AM Shooter's Meeting (Squad and lane assignments, hand out scorecards)
10:00 AM Match start.
Entry fee: $10 Adults, $5 Juniors or RFG members
Must sign a waiver/release of liability form good for the current year.
Eye protection is required.
88 cubic foot air tank will be provided for PCP shooters.

Rain is forecasted for Sunday. We are changing the match to Saturday December 9th instead.
Paul, if you can only do Sunday. I can still shoot with you, but it will in the rain. We can use a pop tent and move it from lane to lane.
Course is set and ready for tomorrow morning.

Wind: 1-6 MPH, mostly calm conditions
Number of Targets: 20 (40 points maximum)
Average Distance: 31.4 yards
Average Kill Zone: 1 3/8” (Mix of 1”, 1 ½” & 40 mm kill zones)
Course Difficulty: 36.9T (no wind modifiers)
Match Times: 10:00 AM–12:30 PM, Course Takedown completed 1:00 PM

If I may add to the report.
Karen shot the whole course standing, since we forgot out kneeling roll and pad. And I shot Karen's rifle since I brought the wrong scope wheel. Obviously the rifle makes no difference as I am crap at standing shots.
Love the camaraderie - always good to chew the fat over some excellent stew.
