The course is setup and ready to go for tomorrow morning. Rain is coming in the afternoon when we are done taking the course down. Please thank Ron for doing 95% of the work.

2021 September 5 Sunday FT Match Report

Temperature: 65-75 degrees F

Wind: 5-10 mph

Cloudy with winds changing directions

10 lanes, 30 targets, 2 shots/target = 60 shots/points total

16-55 yards, mix of 1”, 1-1/2" and 40mm kill zones.14 targets over 40 yards

Average distance: 39.02 yards, Average KZ size: 1.51”, Course Difficulty: 29.73T with no wind factor (36.3T with wind)

For this match, Ron used distances from a previous match back in 2021 where we had an average distance of 39 yards with a majority of the KZs being full sized.

The wind made things very difficult for many people including myself.

At 9:30 am after shooting practice, we paired up to shoot the course.

We had one new shooter to Ron’s match – Peter from MA.

As usual, Brian V shot match high of 56 and Chas D had second highest score of 54 with another rifle. In addition, Matt B shot incredibly well for the Piston Class with a score of 51. Geoff S shot a 48 in Hunter PCP class. Well, done, Gentlemen!

We have one spectator Donovan who seemed very interested in joining us on our next match

A big thanks for Ron for setting up and hosting the match. Thanks to all that attended and who helped clean up at the end. We were all done cleaning up and left by 1:15 pm.

@gonzav  Thanks as always for the report, Leo. And thanks so much for Ron and family for set up and hosting. It was great seeing the big crowd, and getting another chance to anticipate that field's wind. I really appreciate shooting there!

I'm looking forward to finally shooting at Rockville next month.

@gonzav Those are cool to see. Thanks Ron. I especially like seeing the difference of wind effect between the two shots on the far boar in the first video. The wind was tricky!
