Slugs are relatively new, but offer better BC and energy retention than pellets. In other words, we can possibly extend the potential of our existing guns that do not require FX slugliners. I've already proven it with an old Daystate Air Ranger. Next will be testing NSA .177 12.5gr. slugs in my Evanix Rainstorm.
I'd also love to try 10-11gr. slugs in my breakbarrels. However, I don't need 100 or more pellets of a given slug if the gun does not like it.
Here is a listing of potential slugs that are similar in weight to current pellet offerings. Would you try a sampler if it was in the $25-$35 range?
I wouldn't need more than 15 slugs per type. Three, five round groups per slug will tell me if the gun likes them or not.

In a New York second.
I don't have a 25 yet but I'll get around to it. To obtain a comprehensive sampler as individual types, you have to figure out who sells/has whatever in stock, pay separate shipping etc. and by then you'd have a small fortune tied up, not to mention time. I have already done this with .177, .20 & .22. Of course a few that I want the most -are not in stock that I can find.
I received the H&N.22 21gn in .217 &.218 yesterday but haven't had time to try them. My interest is relatively high as of recent in the slug department but mostly for 'magnum' class springers.
I would absolutely embrace $35+ for a good slug sampler. In fact, put me down for one.
EDIT: (1 each)
Hey, if it is any help: I have a listing of all available slugs in .22, including the companies that offer sampler, with links and prices and other specs: length, tip, base, shipping prices, and discounts. It's easy to compare in the table and to get an overview of what's out there at at what prices.
The Howler (Daystate) slugs aren't on it yet, and the Talon slugs went defunct recently.
Because of their larger bearing surface inside the barrel, slugs must be sized more closely to the barrel than pellets. Most slug manufacturers only offer 1 or 2 diameters. NSA offers 5. And they offer samplers.
I'll attach the Slug Table .22cal below. ?
