What are the superior low powered springers. Have R7 now, what's better?

HW55 if you don't mind more weight. And the lockup latch.  But light weight is what makes the R7 so appealing. Walther 55's are nice too.

My wife bought this HW55 for me before we were married (1987 I think). I still keep it in the Original box. And it looks like new. I have 3 HW55's. She makes good choices!

^^ Yup. The HW55 is the Cadillac of low powered break barrels.

How do you measure "superiority"? Accuracy? Any of the older target springers will "beat" your R7. But those are not what you'd call handy like your R7. And most are on the heavy side  being purpose built. HW springers are mostly hunting rifles. As such they are VERY accurate but not competition target level accurate. You seem to be sort of searching without a specific goal in mind. That can be expensive, both as to money and time. Might I suggest you give that R7 a chance? See how well you do with it, then decide if you need to upgrade.

From my own experience and air rifles, I love my old 1971 Hy-Score 810M (Diana 60) recoiless match air rifle... found it in a pawn shop about 10 years ago that was stored in a back room... I didn't even attempt to shoot it, and did not want to tear into it... so I had Ed Kryznowek (ekmeister) restore it.

I put my old Leupold EFR 3-9x33 scope on it, so I could shoot it longer distances...

I was shooting "lions" the other day with it... here's a video...

Hy Score 810M 1
Hy Score 810M 7
