I have a pre-safety Beeman R7 incoming. It has the stock with the palm swell.I would like to find a more lefty friendly stock.

Pyramid air has newer R7 stocks special order. For $99.00
I know The newer stocks are Lefty Friendly, I have 2 R7 / HW30’s, and I shoot lefty. Only question is if the new stocks will work older rifle. Should shoot them Email to see if will work on you gun.

but you could get a complete gun from Krale and have 2 rifles and 1 to sell and push the cost

Krale show they are out of stock but for how long and it could be worth the wait

@djna, thanks...

According to Shannon at Pyramid the R7 replacement stock (Beeman_R7_Air_Rifle_Stock/4855) will fit the older power plants. Although it's $149, the HW30/R7 stock is $99. Both are ambidextrous...

@marflow Will the older R7 power plant fit in the new HW30 stock?

Why not wait until you actually have the R7 and see how it feels before you look for a replacement stock? I'd almost bet that you won't find that palm swell nearly as "offensive" as you think. As a lefty myself I've shot dedicated right hand guns and a good share of them aren't that unfriendly to us lefties, the main exceptions being thumbhole stocks and stocks with rollover combs.

As for whether that pre-safety R7 action will fit into a newer stock. I don't think it will without a little wood removal on the stock. The pre-safety R7 has a rear cap on the action that makes it a bit bigger in diameter than the HW30/R7 with a safety. On the other hand, I believe that the HW30/R7 with a safety are a drop-in fit in an older, pre-safety stock.

BTW, if you do decide to replace the stock on that R7 don't get rid of the original. Those pre-safety R7s are getting harder to come by so finding one in pretty much stock form is a bonus and worth a bit more to folks in the know.

All the above is just my 2 cents worth. Which these days isn't worth squat. But there ya go. ?

Cool. Will be watching to see what you think of it. And congrats on the R7, btw. They're not only a classic but they're great little shooters, too!

BTW, if you have some, give the 7.33gr JSB RS or Air Arms Falcons a try. A lot of the HW30s and R7s really like these pellets. My HW30S really likes the Falcons.

Good to hear. I had a pretty good feeling that you might feel that way about it once you actually had it in your hands. ?

Now, get out there and put some lead downrange and get acquainted with your new baby! And have fun!! ?
