My Crown is so consistently accurate and easy to shoot that I am using it far more often than my Steyr LG110 or my Raw HM1000x. In fact I consider it my .25 of choice now, and I’m sending my Raw to AZ to be converted into a hot long range .177 with a polygon barrel. Not saying that the other rifles are now in the closet, in fact I like the Steyr trigger the best by quite a bit. I even like the Raw trigger better than the Crown trigger, and the Crown trigger is very good indeed so I’m not knocking it in the least bit. I wanted the match trigger but it wasn’t available on the Crown. I think that the Crown is easier to shoot because it is such a well designed rifle, very lightweight and I would describe the stock as minimal. It’s very sculpted and thin, the whole rifle seems very minimal with no extra bulk anywhere. It even seems fragile to me...don’t drop your Crown! Not that you want to drop any rifle. I’m just saying it’s not as tight and precise or as well made as the Raw. But it simply blows my mind every time I shoot it.

I have an Impact with every caliber conversion available. Its a neat gun, and I like it for what it is. But it will not replace my others. While I can put the .30 bbl on the impact, it is not a threat to my .30 Boss, the boss beats it in velocity and accuracy so far in my testing. The same goes for the Impact in its .25 configuration. It shoots very well, but not quite as well as my FX Gladiator MkII .25 does, nor as good as my .25 long Matador. In its .177 guise, its powerful and accurate. But still takes a back seat to me FWB 700 and Stery 110 in that caliber.
The impact is neat because it can wear many different faces, and is highly adjustable. (It needs to be if your going to be swapping all those calibers with wildly different air requirements).
But so far in the year I've had mine, and believe me when I say I've put it through exhaustive testing over the chronograph and ranges out to 100m.
I like the impact because I can grab it in its case and go do anything. It performs very well in all its guises. But IMHO it is master of none of them.

I have known a few people that felt the same way about the Crown as you do about the Impact. Probably why there have been so many resales of these two rifles. People getting out while demand is higher than inventory and prices are kept higher. I'm sure they are both great pieces of kit but this illusion of a 1 size fits all fades fast. If they ever do get it right you can rest assured it will be priced like it's replacing a couple $2,000 Rifles.
