I've grown weary of filing front sights and reblueing. Anyone know of a nice one that will fit?

Thanks

 Why not dove tail 1 with a file. Compression fit with a bit of loc-tite. Do you have a 4in. angle grinder? Thats what the SOB used on a rifle and then covered with a generic Beeman break. And this fool purchased here. Pics didn't reveal the atrocities. I  hate dishonest people (scumbags).

The new HW-90's don't require filing.  They've realigned the grooves to not protrude from the barrel diameter.

Yes I do. If that doesn't work, I have acetylene. I agree, people could afford to be more honest. Kind of ruins it for the mass majority that are.

Thanks Sonny. Just my luck JM is sold out. Doesn't seem like he is replacing much out of stock items these days...

I see this option:

Wonder how they will work out.

The CM sleeve is almost identical except it is open ended; no plug.  The plug makes it look 10x better.  If you buy the CM sleeve, make sure it protrudes 3/8" or so past the muzzle to protect the crown.

I remember having old, new stock of that exact JM sleeve with plug.  Reach out to me if you are interested.  I'd sell it for the sale price + actual ship.  At present I don't plan on buying anymore springers/rams, so I can let one go.

I made this one. What's wrong with being flush? Looks ok. I don't like to add length to the barrel. And it's thin and sleek. Too thin for damaging screws. Held on with blue locktite. What are you protecting the crown from? I don't use my gun for a digging iron or crutch. LOL! ?

I always like at least 0.500” space from the barrel end, the small amount helps with the “report “.

@kwk

I too have a flush sleeve on an RX-1 from a previous owner.  It does look nice.

Remember buying a sleeve from straightshooters 20 years ago.  They suggested the sleeve "hang over" the crown to protect it.  It has stuck with me all these years.  The last HW-90 installation, the sleeve hung over the crown 3/8".
