First impression, I REALLY REALLY REALLY LIKE THIS PISTOL!!!
It is much easier to cock and a lot quieter than my Beeman P17. Been shooting it for hours and meant to post a quick review earlier but was having just too much fun shooting it. I was using Crosman Premier Match Pellets (Wadcutters) with open sights and was drilling a hole into a tree stump at 15 yards off hand and the plastic golf balls are fun to plink at out to 50 yards once holdover is mastered.
It is really neat to pull the hammer back to shoot it and the trigger is very nice the way it is set. I really think this one is worth the money and would highly recommend buying one of these to anyone. I have a feeling it is going to be one of my favorite air pistols! This thing is really accurate to shoot that can be shot for extended periods of time without fatigue and is one of the quieter pistols to shoot.

I can't hit shit with a pistol so I turn them into a carbine. Here's a P1 converted for me to be able to be reasonably accurate.

First, I really enjoy reading your posts. I have entertained the idea of buying a P2/HW75 many times over the years. I have always had an open sighted P1 since 1989. To me its like a hand held R7. I love its power and in spite of so many that find it difficult to shoot, I have to assume that I have totally mastered it- I generally hit what I aim at. My favorite memory shot was years ago on a mouse in the house. It kept coming around the corner while I was watching TV so I loaded up and rested it on my knee where it kept coming. I put the pellet dead between its eyes and it came out its azz cheek LOL. I like the P1's power but I have to imagine that 75 to be extremely accurate! Your post has awakened the urge to get one. If it has the P1 build quality, it's worth every single penny. I would like to find a good deal on a P2 if I had my rathers but I would love a chance to shoot either one.
If you get time, I would love to hear more of your thoughts on that bad boy. Congrats!

there is the question, is the pistol worth the money and to some the answer is no but the pistol is worth putting in your collection 100%
but there is something in any hobby that separates all of us, what we can spend
know people that don't bat an eye at buying a March scope where i struggle at a 150.00 scope purchase
so ever purchase any of us make must have been worth it but again we don't buy all the same thing and we are all in the same hobby and we enjoy what we have

I had a Beeman P2 around 30 or so years ago and at that time I had a Beeman P1 as well and my mentality was a bit different back when as compared to now. I actually gave it away to a friend because I liked the P1 better due to its power and ease of cocking I recall and the recoil I really liked at that time and I wasn't an accuracy freak back then like I am now. I wasn't given the opportunity to shoot a Beeman P17 which wasn't available 30 some years ago to appreciate how easy the HW75 is (or P2).
Now I am strictly into accuracy and power is secondary to my wants and needs. Believe it or not I like 12fpe or under guns and have a liking for 177.
The quality of the HW75 is outstanding and I would compare it to the HW45 or P1 in build quality but I can't shoot the HW45 anywhere near close to how accurate I can shoot this HW75 and first time around I never even shot my P2 for accuracy. I recall just pumping and shooting it only a handful of times (I would guess 2 to 5 shots) and it just sat for a while never to be shot again.
Today I cut a soda can in half strung up at 15 yards away with the HW75. I used to do it with my PCP rifles from a rest. Would have a hard time doing it with my FWB65 or 80 and Diana 6 and 10 and I did it standing 2 handed grip shooting the HW75. There is no way I can do it as quickly or if at all with my P1s and HW45s in any caliber. It appears to be as accurate as a match pistol and the balance and feel is second to none. I have only tried Crosman Premier (Super) Match wadcutters so far and the tin of 500 is almost empty. This thing is so fun to shoot I can't seem to put it down. It hits exactly what you aim at. The grip fits me like a glove and it seems to be an extension to my body when shooting it. Now I want these kind of grips on all of my pistols.
Sound level is a hollow sounding ping when shot with a pellet, dry fired there is a pop to it. Still a lot quieter than a P17 and P1/HW45. I think if it had fibre optic sights it would be more perfect for me since the last pair of HW45 in 177 and 22 I bought specifically because they had fibre optic sights even though they would duplicate other older guns in the same caliber without the fibre optics.
I can tell you that so far I have shot this HW45 every day rain or shine and there is a good probability that this one will become a favorite.
Key points for me is the pinpoint accuracy, ease of shooting, comfort, ease of cocking and low noise.
And it is a lot cheaper than a Daystate Pulsar.

I have to add that I get this feeling to shoot it as much as I can when I can, this little gun has got me addicted! I have this OCD and get bored quickly and this one keeps my attention daily. I currently no longer shoot any other pistol and have some other guns that are neglected that I haven't shot yet. Normally I would shoot 2-3 different pistols almost daily but after getting this one, I only like to shoot this one and so far it has been every day.

Congrats on the HW75, HA. Looks and sounds like a nice air pistol. And I'm sure it has the HW quality, too. But given it's price I guess I'll continue to enjoy my P17 ?.
BTW. You might try the trick in this link for your front sight. Might make it a bit easier to see. And the best part is it's easily reversible if it doesn't work for you.

I am normally critical about price when it come to guns and accessories and have my fair share of nit picks but this one is IMHO is really worth the money spent which is far and few I would admit about most of my other guns.

If the P1/HW45 is your mini R7 then the HW75 is a mini match rifle. I must have shot thousands upon thousands of rounds through several of my P1s and HW45s and none are as pinpoint accurate as this HW75. I have an easier time hitting things consistently with this compared to my FWB 65 and 80 match pistols standing, kneeling, and sitting, one handed, and two handed.
I used to shoot my Beeman 800 labeled Diana 6 almost daily and this HW75 has a lot less drama upon discharge and seems to have a quicker lock time too and haven't shot that one since.
I was shooting (don't laugh!) a cheap $79 but accurate .20 CTC rated Gamo IGT P900 pistol daily as well before this one showed up.
I don't really look forward to taking my nice guns outside for extended sessions (thats just me) but have taken this HW75 out daily for hours.

but my point here is if you get a chance, if you haven't get a .22 barrel for the P1
when we were able to and when the Canadian outfit was still in business i got a .20 and .22 barrel and as you go up in caliber the solter the recoil is so the .22 is a joy to shoot
now the barrel band screws are soft as hell and they have a clear adhesive on them and the plate and you normally strip them out
i bought a bag of 12.9 hardness replacement screws and the right tools, as wiha 2mm insert bit and a pneumatic butterfly wrench but that another story
i haven't got that Gamo 900 but i do have a Lovena Lov 21 now that is an oddball but what a trigger it has and it's accurate

Once it is broken in, it is a very sweet and fun accurate shooter!

I have the P1/HW45 in 177, 20, and 22 calibers already. Didn't want to have to swap out barrels.
The 22 HW45 does not seem to kick like the 177 does and my recent one (22) with fibre optic sights has the 2 power levels like the 177s.
I bought the newer ones as duplicates in 177 and 22 (but not in 20 caliber and have only one old one in 20) since they had fibre optic sights and my old ones do not. I am a little bummed my HW75 does not have fibre optic sights. I thought the new HW pistols already have fibre optic sights. I especially like the grip of the HW75 it just feels perfect!

I gave $400 for rifle and $100 for pistol. And I got that nice aluminum case to go with it and cleaning rod and a Beeman pellet seater that is worth $50.
Glad you got it and are enjoying it. And it’s good to know I’m not the only guy impressed by this gun! Again I don’t think you can call it a true “match” pistol, but something about the P2 is more than the sum of its parts, it’s really a delightful airgun.
Now I’m even madder I missed out on that bargain price at the Hickory show though!

Question: Will it hunt/pest? Maybe birds, chipmunks, or mice? Say inside of 25 yards? I don’t have any pistols, but would love a very accurate one if it pested well.

Shot two handed sitting off of my knee. Should get much tighter groups if shot off of a pistol vice to eliminate the human factor. Scope is a cheap 1.5-6x24 rifle scope with day light illuminated center triangle reticle. No batteries needed and does not need much ambient light.

10 shots with 7.4gr Crosman Premier Pointeds straight out of the tin. The one lower shot is not a flier and was used as point of aim at 25 yards.
I have to say it is really accurate for a low velocity self contained single stroke pump air pistol.

I am unsure how many P2's were made but I buy a lot of guns including some used and always ask the sellers or dealers if they know anyone with a P2 or other guns that I am looking for and eventually I get connected with a seller. Luckily it cost less than a new HW75 but it wasn't an exceptional deal because I paid the seller's asking price and if I didn't he told me he wouldn't mind just keeping it. Tried negotiating on the price but it was a no go but I bought it anyway along with some other match pistols that are no longer produced and are hard to find on the used market.
I have this weakness for match rifles and pistols and sporter rifles and pistols that have match grade accuracy.

Unfortunately it wasn't $220 like how Mike paid. It was almost double that and justified buying it since I know it is hard to find on the used market and really like my HW75.
I am curious if this P2 will shoot hotter than my HW75 since the seller stated it was almost as powerful as his P1.

The little green fellow looks like some kind of warbler, and doves, if seasonal game birds, are otherwise protected. I just couldn't bring myself to pull the practical joke I was planning. Too many irons in the fire right now for the time it would take to do it. It came in black as coal. I was going to tape it off, accent it with silver/gray like the photo made it look and see how many would fall for it and order one. I never said I wasn't a dick. ? I even had the paint out and just thought "I don't have the time to do it right". I don't know if it's the included cheap Beeman Red Dot or what but it shoots terrible.
As far as the Athlon FF scope I really had no use for it. I'd just never tried one. I'm still deciding on a 25 meter gun to use and put it on my FX Streamline to try. I'd taken that gun out of the running and now it's back in. I've no need to adjust the focal plane with it left set at 24. My accuracy increased noticeably using that scope on the gun. I like side wheels so I took an inexpensive UTG 60mm and turned the turret mounting rubber inside out to sand it down. That increased the ID to slide over the Athlon parallax turret. I've done that trick on a couple scopes that only have expensive aftermarket wheel options. Normally the distance yardage lines are close. Not on the Athlon. I mounted it so the wheel markings were in front. I can still see the turret so no big deal. I actually like the way the retical grows as it zooms. Where most my shooting would be it's nice and visible.
