Vortex Optics Diamondback Tactical Rifle Scope 6-24x 50mm Side Focus First Focal EBR-2C MOA Reticle Matte

I've been curious about this one as well but it seems as though FFP scopes generally don't range well. I was hoping you'd get some first hand feedback. Not many good options for H class. 

I'm in Germany now.

But I have the smaller brother of this one in a full power D54 for testing.

At least the one I got has very good glass for the power range.

It has withstood over 50 shots with no evidence of damages.

Tracks well and focus is a little stiff, but not sticky.

The one I have goes to 16x, so it's rules-change proof.

Price seems right for the quality.

Reticle is good, but there are better, and close focus is 20 yards, so, in MHO, not an FT scope.

Check the specs on the one you are looking at, before committing.

I believe I have one of those that I did not mount yet which I was going to do a comparison to my Athlon Argos FFP 6-24x50 and Aztec Emerald 5.5-25x (have both FFP and SFP) and Bushnell 6-24x50 SFP Engage. Clarity looking through the Vortex Diamondback Tactical is similar to the Bushnell Engage IMHO which according to MY EYES is the clearest of the bunch. Have to do it when I have the time on a good clear day.

I get my Vortex Friday. I have the Bushnell you referenced on my AR15. A couple of days ago I set it on 16x and tested its rangefinding out to 35 yards in 5-yard intervals. From 10 thru 30 it was fine. Hoping the Vortex does as well, or better.
