Thank you for the review. You really don't know what you have been missing unless you try a PCP.
Doesn't have to be expensive. Even an entry level PCP such as a Benjamin Maximus that only requires an easy to hand pump 2000 psi fill can easily outshot most springers costing a lot more than the Maximus price point past 50 yards. It may even be able to hit stuff out to 100 yards too in the right hands.
I am a wood stock guy
I looked over the lower price point rifles including the gamo and
Iam very happy I looked into the seneca eagle claw
I love springers they are very organic the pcp is just a different way of having fun and I think they are cool also
The DAR dynamic air rifles might be of interest too. A few folks just mentioned them here recently in some other threads I had been watching and they definitely caught my eye for really nice monte carlo style wood stocks on them (plus other adjustable features). I have an Artemis m30 and Walther Rotex RM8 which I've enjoyed as well.
Just checked DAR out I saved the site and will look into it some more.
they dis not mention barrel length or weight / I am looking for a older pcp rifle I posted a wtb hope I find one
Thanks
found a you tube video on it , loves the jsb out to 75 yds
he says this model is improved over the 1st / looks like a winner to me for the cost & having a wood stock
honestly for another great buy this avenger is getting rave reviews I probably wood get it over the
Dar even though its not wood just because ted holdover could not believe the trigger & the accuracy and the cocking action and its fill & shot count I think it has a adjustable regulator also
Yeah, I've been watching the air venturi avenger for a good while too. Probably one of the bigger advantages is having everything externally adjustable on the avenger, whereas the DAR you have to empty and disassemble to get to the regulator inside the reservoir tube (though you still have to empty the avenger to properly turn the regulator down if needed, similar with most externally adjustable regulators on pcp's). I expect the avenger probably can pack a bit more punch as well. I'd get both if funds permitted, hopefully they will before too long.
@mike-ellingsworth Hi Mike! Have followed you from days on the Yellow to current time. I enjoy your reviews and respect your opinion. Am looking forward to a follow up by you on the Seneca. Hope you provide a video of testing for accuracy and power. Tyler Patner did a nice job of testing the Seneca several months ago on the PA site. VERY IMPRESSIVE gun. I currently am enjoying the .25 cal Avenger. AMAZING accuracy and power for a $299 gun, just not "wood stock"!? I, too am looking to purchase the Seneca Eagle Claw in .22, so your follow up will be of keen interest to me. Thanks for a good review.
Hi. There are a lot of great vids on the eagle claw already.
I did find the carbine has the 360cc tank and the full length version has 400cc tank but for me the carbine suits me best because of the easier handling.
I am waiting on my pcp pump I ordered did the research and found this inexpensive pump that lot of guys are able to use to fill there bottles & guns ebay had the cheapest but thru wall mart you can buy a 4 yr warranty for 49.
also went to ali express grabbed a Nomadd knock off compressor for 1/2 price and a 9l bottle with gauges etc
