Have grown very fond of this scope until I mounted one on my Springer. (Tuned HW97) I have been trying to set it up for Hunter Piston and having problems with My parallax wheel being repeatable. I'm now on my 3rd attempt to set my range finding distance. Even coming from either each wheel distance (Near to far or Far to near) I do not find my wheel distance marks repeatable. Has anyone else had this problem with this scope on a Springer? My biggest problem is 10 to 20 yards. The farther distances no so much. I'm about ready to try another scope but thought I would ask for your input first.
If the clicks are not repeatable, replace the scope. If they are, go by what the scope will do, don't rely on the scopes increments you might need to measure, shoot and mark.
ya true but if it WAS working fine and acted up after putting it on a Springer, then its the Scope is not Springer recomended

Are you going by what the wheel says or have you calibrated it?
I have calibrated the distances the old fashion way.
You need something Japan or Phillipine made with front focus AO like an old Bushnell Elite 4200 or Simmons 44 Mag. Even the $299 Japan Bushnell TAC optics 5-15x40AO is superior and able to handle spring gun recoil. I would not trust UTG on a spring gun for repeatability unless it's one of the cheaper front focus model that seems to be able to handle recoil.
Theres a 7-21x40AO Bushnell Elite on the Classifieds I would buy it if I were you. It's made in Japan.
There is talk on other forums about an Aims 6 or something like that and seems as though HW97 owners tried and had good luck with it. I believe it is a side focus if that is what you prefer. Only complaint I read it's side wheel is stiff and must be focused exactly on the money regarding parallax wheel on order to get a clear picture. I would think the 2.5x- 15x model would do in your case unless you shoot unlimited class.
Are you using a ZR-Mount?
Sure will help to manage the jarring, optic-damaging bi-directional springer recoil
