I saw the Springfield Armory (made by Air Venturi) M1A/M14 .22 underlever on sale at airgundepot.com . With wood stock, it's a faithful replica @ 9.9lbs! Shoots pretty good with peep sights. I also went to eBay and found a new Crosman M4177KT .177cal multi pump. It's definitely based on the 760 Pumpmaster! I already have an AIR17 built 8/86. That one was used so little, it looks new and is still tight internally.
I have one of the original Crosman M417, before they got in trouble and had to change the name to M4-177. Yeah, it's basically a tarted up 760, but still a lot of fun. I added an AR carry handle sight, which helps with the heft and balance. It'll probably be on my table at Findlay.
@jiminpgh I like the M4177KT, but wanna get the adjustable front sight from Crosman. I already have the tool to adjust it. I like the M1A/M14. but am looking at military replacement parts sights for some things. Like a sling mount kit and the butt plate assembly that flips up over the shoulder. I still need to rub several coats of Rem-Oil into the stock. That thing was dry as a bone when I first got it.
