I would like to give a big thumbs up to two local airgun dealers. Dennis Baker and Donnie Reed over at Baker Airguns and Artie Claudino of Lexington Airguns. Artie really helped me out a couple of years ago and this shout out is long overdue. Just this week Baker Airguns came through for me. Thanks to Baker, I am now the proud owner of a beautiful thumbhole laminate stock for my HW100. I've been trying to get my hands on one of these stocks for some time now. The big US Weihrauch dealers either couldn't be bothered or quoted absurd prices. Seriously, I could just about buy a synthetic sporter stocked HW100 for what they wanted for the adjustable laminate thumbhole stock by itself. Then I tried Krale and their price was much more reasonable so I placed an order. They were however unable to actually produce the stock. They quoted me a two week lead time and charged me in full up front. More than six weeks later they were up to excuse number three and could provide no further information as to when I might actually expect it to ship. All they could tell me is that it was out of their control. I've had two transactions now with Krale and both were train wrecks from a customer service standpoint. When I had my first poor experience with Krale, Artie Claudino of Lexington airguns stepped in, saved my butt and made me whole just before the Cajun Spring Classic. Krale had shipped me my brand new HW100 without inspecting the rifle and it showed up missing the fill probe. I contacted them immediately and five weeks later still no probe and the Cajuns were quickly approaching. That's when Artie borrowed one from a new in stock rifle he had and got it to me quickly so I could finally set my gun up and prepare for the spring classic. This time around it was Baker Airguns. They really went the extra mile with a flexible trade and cash deal to put that beautiful stock in my hands. I can't say enough good things about these smaller local vendors and their excellent customer service. I'm learning that hiccups can and will occur from time to time but it's how they're dealt with that really matters. Cheap prices from overseas can have a hidden cost. Thank you again to Dennis and Donnie of Baker Airguns and to Artie of Lexington Airguns. You guys rock!
Joe, Nice to learn that there are a couple of Airgun dealers out there willing to earn our green backs. Good Job! I have never done any business with either one but you have aroused my curiosity and will search for their web sites.
