I greet all airgun fans like me from Italy.

I have many rifles (pcp / gasram / springer) all fac. Among these there is also a theoben eliminator .22. This rifle I have rebuilt several times (piston-gasram etc) but I have always had problems reaching your 265 ms (jsb 1.03) and I don't understand the reason. The charge pressure is 1000 psi but it is better a little less. I use  hill pump and not with slim pump. Could this be the secret ??

Any advice is very welcome

thanks

Are you sure that your gage is accurate? What velocity are you able to reach?

Yes,It is accurate, I put an electronic one. I have a hill pump  if I load up to 68 bar with 1.03 jsb I arrive at 244/46 ms. To get to 255 ms (best speed for me) I have to give 73/75 bar. All internal components are new, I lubricate the piston and or with molybdenum disulfide, in short, everything is ok but I think I'm wrong in loading air. I have other gas ram  that work, however, at low pressure (3 hw 90 .20 / 22/25) and I find speed immediately with the chosen pressures.

I've never used a gage, I just use the prescribed velocity for the chosen pellet.

I tuned mine to a 735 FT/Sec with the JSB 18.13 grain pellet. That's around 21 Ft/Lbs of energy and an easy cocking and smooth shooter.

According to my calculations, you are pushing 28 Ft/Lbs of energy. That is max that I would ever try with that gun. It must be a real bear to cock!!!

Over stressing these guns is easy to do, and bad results are going to happen.

Hi ,eliminator is airgun high power for correct equilibrium between accuracy, reactions, accuracy and power is with velocity from 248/254 ms with 1,03 jsb (31/34).

You can go until 36 /38 j but don' t need because you have loss accuracy.

Elim system  work high pressure 68 bar ,hw 90 gas ram work low pressure to max 26 bar but it give 28 j to 21 bar if correctly fitting.

So,is possible fit elim to power of hw 90 but for me don' t is need to have eliminator,i have 90......

For mine problem ,i dismanted gas ram  eli ,i seen the brass block blocked by consumed internal oring.

Thanks,i fitted to 258/260 with jsb 1,03 , this morning i tested airgun and it's ok.To 50 meters in door i have 5 shoots in 17 mm in field with a lot of wind 23/27 mm .

For this airgun and to this power i am satisfied.
