Hey guys! If you only saw one of my videos in your life, this is the one I would want you to see. The Walther RM8 represents the best value in airgunning, if accuracy is your ultimate goal. This gun shoots long range groups with ease that most $1500+ guns struggle to achieve. Fully regulated German made perfection for the price of a Hatsan! PCP's don't get much better than this…at ANY price.

Like to hunt or pest? This gun and the JSB Hades .22 cal are a match made in heaven. This RM8 Rotek (the Rotex in EU) full review video will give you an up close look at Wather's flagship PCP rifle. Thanks for watching! -Nate

If this gun peaks your interest but you only want to spend $300, the best Co2 rifle ever created uses many of the same parts. It's almost a carbon copy of the RM8. Dime size groups at 35 yards and Nickle size groups a 50 yards with a Co2 gun!

Wow...now that's something I would be interested in building myself. I'm a big fan of that "platform". Thanks for the pics and info! Nice pellet holder and charts on those gems! -Nate

The "pellet" holder is actually a temp strip on the CO2 rifle.. lol. I use that for a reference to ambient temps (more for colder temps that hotter) I have shot it down as low as 45 degrees.

Looking at the eBay listing they have for that RM8 they seem to make the claim that is is a more powerful US version as opposed to what everyone else sells for it even though I'm not seeing anything listed differently model or spec wise (or in manuals) that specify more than 30 joules (which is a little over 22 foot pounds). Seems other people at PA and other stores have the same question without any clear answers. Anyone able to share some insight on this?

Thanks, though still a little confusing with the numbers. I'm seeing 28-32 fpe listed on the eBay listing for it (which is 38-43.4 joules), so are those numbers being stretched by the eBay seller or are they just interchanging the two power measurement values as being equivalent?

Wather's flagship PCP rifle

* Umarex Walther. Don't know much about the Reign (other than it produces much more power) but it might stake a claim for that title .

Carl Walther, not even in the same universe even though these are strictly target rifles.

The one I tested in the video was actually listed at 22 ft pounds or 30 joules.

My test showed it at around 24-26 foot pounds.

PY Air's Q and A section says the Rotek is 32 foot pounds in .22 ...although they seem to only sell the .177.

If anyone's looking for a discounted basically new wood stock version in .177 had spotted this one on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Walther-Rotek-177-PCP-Air-Rifle-NIB/324289164633

It's listed at $455 starting with a couple days to end, so someone might lucky and not have any other bidders.

*edited link since it seems to have gotten boogered

Nice review. I’ve got an 850 in .177 and have been happy with it. There was a guy in VA who made a batch of chassis type stocks (AR buffer tube and grip) for these platform guns. Picked one but but still haven’t installed it on the 850 yet. It would be cool on a Rotex, you got me thinking.

Where is that guy? I'm interested in one of the AR type stocks.

I got that new .177 Rotek off eBay. Review on the way.

It looks like pcptunes also makes some improved regulators for these with higher power as well, including one that will bring it up to 45 joules (though that one entails changing out to a bigger bottle as well). Little pricey, but interesting options.

The ebay seller was srsch_k60ilaz2x, I tried to pull photos from the ebay listing but it's too old now. I'll get some photos of the gun later. I haven't put on my 850 yet, still have a fresh 88g on it and you need to remove the co2 before installing it.
