3 years ago we unpacked a springer with sand in the spring lube.

Does that sort of silliness still occur?

How about the PCPs?

A Hatsan Sortie was loaned to me for a few days. It would not cycle the magazine properly at all. Single shots were reasonably accurate with a dot sight that was on it. I wouldn't buy one of those. I'm hoping the Flash Pup works better. I'm eyeing one in .22

Thanks Terry, I hadn't seen that model.

Your review, when contrasted with some others, brings right back to mind something I deleted from the OP.

2/3 of internet reviews are now fake. (for about 2-5 years now)

SWIM gets free stuff on Amazon, takes it out of the box, writes a review,  then sells most of it on Ebay as  "New-Other"

At the end of the day it's probably a better use of talent than trolling, clearly more profitable, and SWIM could always post bad reviews once the item is in hand.

In less controlled environments than Amazon, reviews can be had for cents, even entire histories of reviews are easily created.

That was the context for my question, and I'm sorry the guy reviewing at PA flamed you.

I picked up a Hatsan 95 vortex refurb in .22, mostly with the idea I could use the vortex ram if I wanted to in my Turkish Tomahawk.  but the gun shoots so well out of the box I am leaving it alone.  I opened it up and was appropriately lubed and shot nice and smooth with great accuracy.  For $125 shipped I am pretty happy.

On second thought, I'd rather take a look at a Bully in .30 instead...
