Mine has new gauges compared to the old gauge. For $120 I upgraded to the digital gauges. They sent me the original gauges as well. The original gauges are new and different compared to the MK I. The new gauges are black with white hashmarks. The new gauges are silver and come in a box from Wika.
The biggest thing seems to be the mags. Mine came with the old mags and they send an upgrade kit with two new mags after the fact.
It takes about 15 min to swap the mag setup.
The other thing is the barrel. It’s now a full smooth twist barrel, versus the choked smooth twist from before. I get what they were trying to do with the old barrels but I like these better. That old method seemed a bit of BS to me.
But just IMAGINE the ABILITY to crank it up to 100fpe!!!
Talking 25 and 30 cal... shooting SLUGS... PAST 100 YARDS!!!
Just wanted a reason to send them off to (FiX) to upgrade being a legitimate reason for me
rather than just filling the guns just before shooting (slow leak).
Gives me a reason to buy a 30 caliber kit too.
I have this fully WAR done Benjamin Armada in 22 which is 60fpe capable
but dialed it down to 30fpe and boy is it a SWEET SHOOTER!!!
Not the best when it comes to cost effectiveness but just had to try it.
Like having a big motor in your car and just cruzin' and tapping the gas...
Until you need the power... or want it...
HA
The store was waiting on the scope I wanted to finish my MKII. I had them set it up with a Nightforce and a 700mm .25 Barrel. I already had a 700 mm X barrel in a .30 that the owner of FX gave me at the EBR. Ernest Rowe makes a high flow probe and barrel flow mod so I put that on the .30 to try out. So I picked it up yesterday and switched out the barrel this morning. It comes with the SideShot high capacity magazine. My old SideShot and factory mags struggled to fit. I think it's the little rubber tits FX has now put in to tighten the new style magazine. I'm going to talk to the vendor before I try to pop them out. I swear I saw them removing them to get better clearance.
Anyway, Set it to shoot JSB 44gr .30 at 820 fps to try it out. Still smiling. Only 28 yards in my back yard so I'll have to wait for it to stretch it's legs.

Side note. They were playing with a FX Crown set up as a .177. That was a shooter! My son split a playing card with it at 30 yards.
Just as a brain fart update. The reason my old magazines wouldn't work is because the barrel was coming back into the magazine area just enough to jam trying to put the magazine in. Not harshing on Ernest, buy his Hi-Flo barrel end had just enough tolerance difference to let the collar come back enough to make it too tight of a fit. Should have looked at that first. Head bang. 10 second fix to loosen the barrel and slide it up a tinge. They all fit great now.
Interesting in that I wanted to get a little more fps out of the .30. Took the regulator from 120 to 140 and it dropped about 60 fps. I did give it more hammer spring tension and not a significant change. Put it back to 120 and I was back in the 820 fps zone. Hmmm.
