Recently I have been privy to a selloff of an airgun collection by a dealer. They asked me what I was interested in purchasing and I supplied a list. Of course anything FWB was tops.
So they send me a picture of a scoped FWB 124 and a price which was just slightly below current market costs. I say OK just glancing over the pictures.
3 days later I received a well packaged rifle. I unbox it and it's like brand new. So, I start my usual routine of cleaning and oiling....when I notice the stamp. FWB 127!!!! I just about fell over!!! How funny is that?!!
Anyhow, I couldn't wait to shoot it. When I first cock it, it sounds terible. It made noises it should not. First few shots diesel and it's all over the target. However, by 20 shots it was cocking buttery smooth and it was a solid tack driver. (See pic...5 shots)
Needless to say , I am thrilled about the surprise 127. It is always an adventure buying airguns. Sometimes you get beat out of a purchase by a buddy who likes the same kind of stuff you do. Sometimes you are the only buyer. Sometimes they come smashed to pieces, and sometimes it's everything in between. Bottom line is you never know what is in that box until you open it up!!

I don't know what you're talking about, J.C. ?
On a completely unrelated topic, my first 127 should arrive today. Of course, it's supposed to rain all day today and my front porch offers virtually no protection from the elements. Where is that mailman??

Karma got you Shareef!! Kidding aside, best of luck with that rusty old clunker Ken is sending you!
Luckily you aren't into PCPs or 10 meter match guns otherwise we may be seriously bumping heads.
I usually only buy just one of each (sporter type) springer I want to try out and two of the ones I like.
10 meter match guns and PCPs are a whole different story.
I really thank you for that.
