Through my contacts in Czechia (Czech Republic), there is an opening to get an improved version (same stock, same mechanism, but a regulated aluminum tube with Quick Fill).
Price will be comparable to what the gun sells in CZ eShop.
Would the rifle have enough shots at 19 FPE to shoot an entire match?
Also, I think I prefer the two piece target stock with the adjustable cheek piece to the one piece stock.

David, the proposed modification will give US shooters a regulated rifle with 150 cc's of net air capacity, so that is an improvement over the original one.
I don't think you can get 62 shots (that's a full match around here), at almost 17 1/2 ft-lbs (19 would be pushing the normal pellets beyond their stability limit), but the advantage of having a regulated TUBE in the CZ200 (where the valve is at the tube) is that you can air up and continue shooting without having to worry about POI shifts at long range. Something that cannot be done with the OEM one.
A lot of shooters prefer the one piece stock, it's more temperature stable, but personal preferences are personal.
If you want the two parts stock, then you can get the T200 from Champion's Choice with the adjustable cheekpiece:
You are adding almost $300 to the $565 that you need to pay to Ch-Ch.
I do think, that once you take into account the improvements the Cz Gunsmiths are putting into the gun, it is a VERY worthwhile and interesting purchase. But that is JMHO.

EACH of you will be dealing DIRECTLY with the CzechRep gunsmiths, they are an established and reputable firm that has been dealing worldwide for years.
This is an essential part of the whole concept because AA has very strict contracts that CZ does NOT (quite understandably) want infringed in any way. But AA cannot control world free trade and the liberties we have here in the USA, so, we found a way.
When the website link is posted, I will let everyone know here and each can place the order directly, there is no limit in principle to the number of guns that can be made, but neither is there a commitment to make this a "catalog product".

BUT, I have been assured that it will be just under US$700 with two shipping options:
USPS.- US$68 (or thereabouts, remember the Czech post charges in Crowns)
TNT.- US$90 (or thereabouts).
If anyone has a contract with UPS, they can use that too and pay shipping on this end.
PERSONALLY, I would spend the difference between the courier and the USPS in insurance and ship via the Postal systems of both countries, but that is just me.
I have also been told that there aren't many around in the Cz. Rep. and obviously, this is "first come, first served".

I want to thank Hector too. You made something 'easy' for those of us who want one but would probably never had a chance to obtain in this stock. Mine wont be a 'main' shooter by any stretch but it will probably become my short range plinker/target gun and let me thin out a few other things that I've used to fill that role that don't interest me nearly as much.
Edit... Mine is on the way!! It shipped 5/30 and has cleared their local customs and is cleared for 'export'.

For those that did not get a gun on this round, CZ has acknowledged the request for more guns and said they will supply, hopefully it will not take too long.
Altaros is a brand that deserves more recognition from the US customers. After some years of making regulators and stoking up the boiler, they will soon be able to run at full speed with a wider of products.
Stay tuned because they will change some basic paradigms in the near future.

Rifle (after deducting the VAT) was $693 USD but then add whatever shipping option you chose. my shipping was another $68. I don't know if that would fluctuate with exchange rates....
You'd have to email them for any info or to purchase/order one. I get the impression they only did a few, at least for now.
What tracking system are you using, I was not able to get good information with the tracking I tried. And for others, I have ordered stuff from Altaros before and they have always been great to work with.
They sent me an email when they shipped. It included a tracking number and a link. I didn't use the link but the same tracking number was picked up by USPS. after a day or 2. Might depend on what shipping option you picked but mine has been easy.... but then again, since it hit NY 2.5 days ago, there have been no updates. For me, stuff coming through NY/NJ sometimes gets here 2-3 days before they update the tracking... so I have no real clue when it might show up. But being in MD, if they really processed 6/4 in NY as the tracking says, it could show up today but I won't hold my breath.
Trigger on the factory CZ is much better, and out of the box the CZ should be more accurate due to a properly machined and stiffer 15mm barrel.
Also the gauntlet is massive, very large and very heavy compared to a CZ200. The 200 is easily handled by women and youth shooters. Sure the gauntlet has some nice features but isn't on the same level quality wise.
The Gauntlet seems to have equal features at less cost. Some are now only $220.00
What am I missing.
We bought what we like..??? I'm sitting behind a 12fpe rifle that cost 15x what the gauntlet costs. You shoot what you like or are willing to deal with, I'll shoot what I like. Okay??

I think the basic answer on differences come down to CZ barrel, wood stock (especially one that's not otherwise available in the US), accessory rail, many years of proven quality, etc... If that's stuff that you like than yeah.... it's gonna cost a little extra. Seriously, I meant no offense in my previous response....
1. Altaros used the term 'registered' in our emails. There just happened to be a box at my mailbox 1/2 a mile away from my house.... To me registered mail means at least signature required on the recipients end.
2, The ORIGINAL CZ box (and I know the shape, very much like the HW boxes, angled and such) is simply wrapped in a thin sheet of plastic. NOITHING ELSE. Could be the cheapest garbage bag you ever bought.....
3. The top/skinny side of the box... the top 13-14 inches of the box is completely broken off the rest of the box. The plastic is still there but I can get 2-3 fingers between the cardboard portions, all the way around. It's completely broken off / separated.
I'm too upset to even take pictures right now, much less try to post them I'm not even going to open it tonight. Seeing any damage would not be good for my blood pressure!!! And yes< I will be sending a copy of this post (once I post pics) to Altaros.
Rifle appears to be fine. I'm a little surprised that the stock survived, the back half the box, while not broken off, was crushed and mangled too. I just didn't know it until I removed the 'saran wrap'. I'll keep my note to them simple....shipping half way around the world, at least 2 customs warehouses, and I think I counted 5 post offices it went through... might want to try something a tad more supportive than plastic wrap.
I agree. They need to double box for a trip across the Atlantic. Mine arrived yesterday in my home state, the person that received for me said box was in rough shape. I am having it forwarded to me so I won't see it for a week or so then I can report on the condition. I will e-mail Altaros as I have done business with them before.
I also wrote to Altaros and they sent me the same reply you got. Seems they will double box in the future. Mine is supposed to arrive today had in forwarded to me. Does anyone know how may are in the country at this time?
I have a feeling its just our 2. I needed a smaller scope for mine. It got here yesterday but I've been chasing a water (lack of water) problem.... Got the well pump replaced yesterday, ruled out the filtration system today (mostly) waiting on feedback from plumber. I thing we might need to run a new pipe from the well to the house/tank. There is soooooo much landscaping in the way.... just cant focus on a new setup. Once I here back from some folks and schedule next steps, I'll get stuff mounted and post a pic.

for economies of scale i`ll be doing it one bit at a time- my rifle came with a cz 150ml cylinder though and a lot of people say they got a 120ml job. at least i`ll have plenty air..
there`s a place in uk that does regulators etc for the 200s: lanes regulators, and another called huma-air in the netherlands.
i would be interested to hear if anybody has experience with them also, but i have been following altaros` progress the last few years and they are my preference at the mo.
i am kind of wondering what the lightweight cylinders will do to the balance of the gun tho` and i suspect that any weight saved will have to be accounted for with barrel-weights etc. any thoughts?

Lane and Huma are both great. in the US the Huma has a large following. I have added both Huma and Altaros regs to several guns with great results, Can't actually speak to Lane regs but I know that many folks use them.
The stock (I think) was the main point for us. Altaros tube with quick fill and reg (in whole or parts) has been an available upgrade to the AA/CZ 200 rifles we do get in the US for many years.
Welcome to this thread. I can say from experience taking apart a factory tube is quite a struggle. for safety they make the end pieces way too tight. You need the tool and lots of force and patience. Another option is get the whole tube from Altaros with reg installed, quick fill and manometer all in one. Once you get the factory tube apart, only hand tight is necessary for complete seal and ease of taking apart again. Cheers.
Steve, good point on tools. I've had some that were easy, some needed extra grip (rubber jar lid gripper thingy) and some I gave up on... would have needed to build a tool. I don't recall what the factory CZ200 tube needs. I still haven't figured out how to get to my FWB reg I just want another 2-3 footpounds…. (I really haven't tried that hard though) .
I'll try to get the 200G up and running tomorrow and post back.
Altaros actually sells the tool that you need to take a factory tube apart. I have that tool. I am thinking the Altaros tube is not that tight but don't really know. Don't anticipate taking tube apart at this time.
Agreed. I was partially being general... I've had most brands apart. Never a 200 or my FWBs. As long as it works.... It works. I trust that that this one will work just fine.
I used 2- 5mm allen head bolts, channelocks and piece of leather in my brass jaw vise. This came for the UK guys. File and shorten the bolts to fit spanner holes. Remove ALL the air from tube, wrap cylinder in leather and put in vise. Catch just the bolt heads with channelock pliars. It is very tight but will come loose. Just hand tighten when re- installing. Did 3 this way, easy peasy. Don
My regulator is arriving today, I opted for the Altaros external. My buddy and I went in and bought one each from an eBay store and ended up paying just under $76 each.
Since I had a little time in waiting for my reg I drew up and printed a valve removal tool.
I'm currently trying to find the exact thread size for the hammer spring adjustment bolt on the CZ200. It looks close to a 12mm with 1.0mm pitch but it measures in less than the specs I'm reading for the 12mm.
does anyone know what to loosen so as to adjust the butt plate and cheek piece on the CZ Green stock?
holes you see on the side are hard flat smooth plugs. there are two Philip head screws on the bottom of stock as viewed in photo.
yeah, slacken off the phillips heads undernmeath and you can move the comb up/down and left/right.
with the buttplate there`s a central allen bolt which loosens for up/down.
when you move it there are a couple more allen heads you loosen to adjust the pull.
you should have some plastic spacers come with the gun and they fit both- just slide them in from the side.
Mine came with one spacer installed under the cheek riser and one installed in the butt. No extras. I like a short length of pull so I might move that one to the check riser....
same with mine on the one spacer. Hope I can get close to 14 inch LOP that's where I like it. Won't get to play until next week, can't even shoot it yet. Sure like it though, and Altaros is great to deal with IMHO.
I am glad that in the end, the rifles seem to have suffered no damage. I fully sympathize with the anguish of a damaged box, I've been there more times than you can imagine, with the added problem that it is usually NOT my gun, so I suffer about my customer's guns more than I would suffer about mine.
I'm sure Altaros will review the packaging for next shipments, they DO have special boxes for their "Assassin" model.
At present there are ONLY 2 of those guns in the US, more are on order with CZ and AFAIK, they will be able to ship soon, as CZ is supposed to be shipping to ALTAROS next week at latest. Curiously, it seems that CZ itself is not enthused with increased sales of this model . . . ?!?! Go figure.

hector- because the `assassin` is based on the cz 200 action, and is "set to 16 Joules and it has to stay in this energy for the reliability." (sic), the same maximum power as the cz 200 is rated for (not 16fpe or anywhere even remotely like it) i can`t see it going down a storm on the american market tbh- so cz may not have to worry too much about that ?
hOLEmAKER.- The Assassin is an interesting development by Altaros, not CZ.
The "balance" of the energy in the Assassin is extremely important because it IS a blowback action, but very efficient. I don't think the Assassin's market is the US, more like the UK, where extremely good precision at long distances but with low powers are the name of the game (literally).
If the precision stats I am seeing hold for the more general production models, I could see a few shooting the Assassin in FT. Load the mag with two pellets, take your shots with plenty of time to watch for wind and other considerations. NO need to worry about cycling the action, or more importantly, breaking your shooting position. 12 ft-lbs is 16 joules and it is the reason why the whole mechanism was designed around that power level.
What I was referring to is the CZ Green. CZ only makes a few every year and those have to be allotted to distributors. IF I was CZ, I would be trying to push the ONLY model not covered under the AA agreement (by AA's own decision) and "skip the middleman". But that assumes that CZ's management is working along modern lines of thought where different branches operate almost like different business units, they have to show their own profitability and advancement, and pay for the central resources used, whether they are services or goods. The most likely explanation is that CZ's management is still under archaic (Soviet-era) criteria, and/or they got BADLY burnt by trying to modernize and that created a backlash in the company's top echelons. It is clearly an interesting "HBS" (Harvard Business School) type of cases where the product is successful, but most of the benefits are reaped by outsiders.
As a bolt action the gun, back in 2002-2004, was capable of up to 16 ft-lbs in 0.20" and 17 ft-lbs in 0.22", though perhaps the more modern actions are more capable. I have a few friends that are trying to reach the 18 ft-lbs levels with the 14-16 grs, JSB's.
I've also received some very interesting shot strings that claim about 90-100 shots in 0.22" with the Altaros regulator and lengthened tank at around 600 fps with the 14 grainers. So, it will be interesting to see exactly what sort of performance these guns come up with, since they are 0.177".
We Americans may be power hungry in many ways, but the knowledgeable airgunner knows that it is precision and accuracy what will get you a scoring shot.

Seems I remember reading that regs need lots of shots to break in. I would not be too quick to save chrony numbers just yet. If this reg is like the one Altaros sells separately it IS adjustable. I got a CZ 200 near 20 ft lbs by taking the pot out of the factory tube and no reg installed, but I have an Altaros Reg at home set for 15 ft lbs, just need another tube to put it in. I want to leave the Green CZ right where is it for now. thanks again Hector I am tickled pink (or should I say Green) with this CZ!
I'm a 12fpe fan so I'm good! Actually think I filled it to around 200bar, while the tube is rated at 190bar. Maybe the first few shots had too much pressure for the reg to work correctly. Despite the tubes rating I have no idea what the regs limits are. We'll see. My play time right now is devoted to the .25 Uragan and the rest of my time is going to cutting grass. I ignored it for too long while fighting my lack of water.
Do really like the rifles. Can see the urge for regulation and longer air tube to extend shot count for the various sports/games requiring it. Doesn't really change the fundamental nature of the little rifles, just makes them more suited to a specific task.
Can be any color you want them to be, so long as they handle as well and shoot as well,can live with whatever section of the rainbow tickles you.
I'll be following along to see how this turns out...but with two older ones already, am not really going to be buying a 3rd.
But I will still support the idea...the two I have have been like "base lines" to judge other rifles accuracy/perfomance (when I start to wonder if it's the gun..or the pellets... or me, will get out one of the CZ/AA's and find out as they've been amazingly consistent perfomers).
Can be amazingly uniform for a good number of shots at about 12 foot pounds...but not enough (40-45 shots in the same vel.varation zone regulated rifles live in) for most sprting games without refilling at some point. Faster speeds, fewer shots (ain't no magic...energy in vs energy out).
The .22 version also has a run of shots equally as nice,but it'sa shorter run of higher energy shots. Not hot rod fast, but certainly hunt-worthy....and I don't really see the .22 version as suited to most sporting games as the .177.
NO PCP is completrly trouble free over the long term. My two have had fewer problems than other PCP's. O-rings will eventually leak and hard used parts will eventually break. The two plastic parts (bolt handle and trigger blade) have not be a problem (one of my two dates back to 2003). Change them if you want to,but it seems more like "bling" than necessity (I promised myself to change to metal parts just as soon as the plastic ones broke....been 16years, still haven't).
But for those of you who have an urge for a highly accurate, moderate power, light weight, well balanced rifle....you really owe yourself trigger time with a CZ s200 or 200T...brown or gree....two pice or one piece...regulated or not...stilla great little rifle.
OK..right about here...what PCP can you name that has been pretty much unchanged (mechanically...we'll give them a pass for stocking changes) for this many years? Think there might be a reason for that?
This is my fifth CZ 200s and I know the stock version with the "pot" in the tube was kind of like a regulator. I like the green and thinking the full on external Altaros reg might give a tad more accuracy because of more consistent shot to shot …… will see. I need to shoot a bunch to break in the reg before I stretch it out long distance. Will be a few weeks.
'Only' my third AA/CZ 200 One 'walnut' one red lam and now the Green. All have been .177 and never tried to make one last through a FT shoot or... They've just been yard plinkers. Same for this one, I won't try to make more of it. My simple attraction to this one was the fact that the stock isn't otherwise available in the US combined with the facts that I'm a single loader when I can be and that I like 12fpe guns. Kinda wish I had kept the red lam one, Sold it when money was tight and I wanted something else. Guy I sold it to was a pain and I feel like I gave it away. No matter now. I have this one with all the upgrades and a better stock.... It's a plinker not worried about hitting a .5" spinner at 75y.
finally shot my Green CZ. With 8.4 lubed AA pellets it was shooting in the low 800s. It was stacking pellets like no new rifle I have ever had. Bench in the basement was incredible accuracy. Very happy. I want the Reg to break in before I do a string on the Chrony. Can't wait to stretch it out.
Hello Jeff ; How will the CZ compare to the Cricket compact .177 ?
Just saw this... Honestly - they are totally different in my book than the cricket (heck, put the cricket/mutant/veteran/wildcat/most others in the same boat).
The CZ/AA 200s are dainty, with what's basically a pistol action, and while some can produce more power than this one ever will... They will never be the more substantial platform all the others are. Accuracy wise, no reason one would be better than the other at 12fpe speeds/distances.
I am leaving the Green right where it is. I have turned up CZ s200 before but I now have other PCP's for higher power. This thing is shooting so good at 12 ft lbs I don't want to change it.
