Umarex Lever action- the barrel wags from side to side with the slightest pressure. I thought I had it fixed-ish by shimming the forearm with slight pieces of plastic, but it only worked for about 20 shots. I'm afraid to keep upping the shims in fear that I'm just pulling the barrel/shroud further off of the receiver. The receiver is in two pieces, coming together in a clam shell fashion, but I can't find an easy screw or nut to torque.
Anyone have any ideas? Great gun, no other complaints!

so the barrel is in side a sleeve and the front of the barrel is threaded to a round nut ????
the sleeve is fitted over the end of the 2 receiver halves but there is no set screws in the parts diagram but it looks like some could added under the forearm
it seems like an odd setup
is that mag in the right way or backwards, pellets are pointing the wrong way

Ohh, that schematic might help... Just knowing how to take the barrel sleeve off is helpful
The picture with the mag- I took that off of the web, it might be backwards.
I was trying to show how the receiver clamshells together. I don't think it pinches the barrel in place, there must something that centers the breech firmly. I'll get out the heat gun and start slowly
Thank you everyone for your assistance. I took the shroud end cap off- it wasn't loose, but it wasn't as tight as it could be. I used that "old man grip strength" and tightened down until I couldn't risk going any farther and the play between the action and the barrel are better than tolerable. I won't be able to buffalo local hoodlums with a barrel whipping, but the front sight stays aligned with the back of the receiver when shooting quickly at rats. Appreciate the help!

you know I try to help on forums if I can understand the what and how of the problem and seeing that half the time I don't own the gun, make that 95% of the time, the first place I look is here

and see if I can find a parts diagram, the understanding the what and how makes solving the problem easier, not always but sometimes
and if you can't add something to the mix you might learn something for yourself and I find that to be just part of my being in this hobby
