can anyone help me just bought a LG 100 Steyr put a Sightron scope on it Field Target edition from 10 to 30 yards is like a laser beam 35 to 55. It’s start shooting left and high at 55 I am about 3/4 of an inch up in about a third of an inch to the left. Can anybody tell me what would cause that actually sent the scope back to Sightron to see if there’s anything wrong with it. They went through it sent it back. Said there was nothing wrong. Any suggestions?
@irish Hard to say without having the gun. Have you changed anything when you started shooting at 55? Velocity? Mounts?
@jw652 Have you had the barrel out of the receiver? You may have to index it again. I marked it, when I changed my 110 to another caliber. Tom
+1, check your barrel indexing.
Shoot for dope as low across the ground as possible in no wind. Shoot prone with a bipod if possible. Low trajectory "altitude" minimizes the wind gradient. It can make a difference in getting repeatable ballistic results.
Pellets from different tins in the same slieve can have different BC's.
If you're set to 18-20 FPE you may just be seeing hold sensitivity.
