Just doing some reading, is anybody left out there making steel targets, small guys anyway?  I bought the reset pigeons, crows, dueling trees, etc.  I remember seeing the ones that would screw into a vertical post with wood lag screws, are those still out there?

SOT Metalworks in Kentucky makes targets. I haven't looked but seen a few on a video.

I am fortunate enough to has access to a metal shop that has scrap from time to time. I’ve cut my own steel plates from 4x4 to 8x8” squares. I use .179 CRS and it gives off a very good sound when struck. I use them for my rimfire as well as all my air rifles. I just use a hook to hang them on so they can swing a bit when they are hit.

I have made my own personal woods walk course around my property for my air rifles. I have them hanging from trees to shepherd hooks at ground level. I have around 35 targets at distances from 10yds to 50yds. Its definitely fun and relaxing for me.

I've attached some pics. I’ve got thousands of pellet shots on these and the only thing I have done is touch up the paint from time to time. It’s definitely a cheap, reliable target that will literally last years. Some of mine are close to 20 years old with no issues.

Forum member Pluric makes some cool stuff, but it's not clear if this is for hobby or profit. There is a thread about home-made targets, which might offer some leads.
