Ok. I purchased my Theoben Rapid MKII with wood stock but not soon after customized it following all those online images about the Rapid Chip Smith mod. This .22 MKII also has the AZ tune w/shrouded barrel, AZ on-board cylinder mod (quick-fill), blah, blah, blah. All the bells and whistles AZ is known for. Added a Swift scope, military bi-pod, Magpul stock... I have all reciepts and everyting needed for resale. I also have other goodies like a laser range finder (high-end Leuopold I think), 8-10 tins of pellets it likes to eat and other items... like rifle bench clamp for working on it or for range shooting for example... more misc. as well.
The carbon fiber tank (Great White) is gaining in age but even has a custom aluminum tube protection frame using industrial structural fittings... near 200 worth of fittings fitings... plus the tubing... made it so it wont roll around and easy to grab and carry (kinda heavy though).
The original hardwood R/L configured stock is beautiful, in prestine condition and appears as new. I need some addvice on this: best to sell it all as a package to someone? I would imagine being able to switch between the original thumbhole wood and the tactical would be a plus in a buyers mind...or should a break this all apart selling accessories..... being wood stock and chip smith tactical rapid sold seperately? Very confused. Also, how do I find what might be fair market value on my customized CS tactical? I was thinking of contacting Swift and/or Chip Smith himself fIf hes still around) for input.
I've been out of the PCP fun for quite awhile now. have'nt logged into this website for in about 5 years... Yellow forum (as it was called back in a day). Nice to be back... almost tempted to keep what I have and get back into it... but might be wise to sell. Feedback appreciated on approaches to sell if I do.
?
For optimum ROI I would sell the rifle and factory stock together. Sell the scope and tactile stock separate.
IMO, based on your post, it is unlikely someone is going to buy everything as a package. Price everything at 30% off what you paid for it--you described as like new, right?--, offer to part-out the package and see what offers come in. A quiet email account means the price is too high, work your way down in price until it sells or you feel the demand isn't going to return as much money as you are willing to accept and resume air-gunning.
I've only RARELY received even 30% of what I've paid for a variety of hobby items.
