Show me your R7 pics
Awaiting mine, let me see yours. Targets too.
Here you go: ARH pre safety HW30, early pre safety Beeman, and Santa Rosa era
Here's my old Mike Abernethy stocked pre-safety R7.
My old HW30 stainless in a JM stock. Next to it is an R7 in a Steve Corcoran stock that belongs to my friend Scott.
My .177 pre safety
Nuthin' fancy or even vintage, but here's my HW30 and R7.
And the R7.
Here is my one and only R7... well, it actually belongs to my son... I bought it for him years ago when he was about 12 years old... he's moved out and a few hours away now after graduation college, and lives in an apartment... but I enjoy shooting it and taking care of it !
It has a Beeman 66RL 2-7x32 scope on it, and very fun to shoot !
Here is my HW 30.
My only HW 30 S combo !Thinking about getting a HW 30 S Deluxe once AOA has them in Stock !
I thought this thread would help me with the wait on mine, nice guns. I will post a pic when I get it back from being tuned...
The waiting is the hardest part! I hope you enjoy your new R7. They are in a class of their own.
At least the weather is right for not shooting... outside, no tracking number yet this week, maybe next...
Huntington Beach R7 in .20 caliber. Top 2 targets were with H&N FTT's, bottom 2 were with JSB 13.73's, 5 shots each.
Classic Goudy-inspired stock (Monte Carlo comb, no cheekpiece, hand checkering, extended fore end). 1988 production, from Beeman's Santa Rosa heyday. Maccari kit and lubes inside, Williams FP-AG sight. This little dude is a near-recoilless laser with JSB 7.3 Exacts - the fastest AND most accurate AND smoothest-shooting ammo I've found for it.
A little earlier than Mike's. I added the trigger shoe and same sight. Notice the beautiful figure in the beech stock. That's how some of the Beeman stocks came. Not all but a few. I saw an R9 with a similar stock once but I didn't jump on it immediately. Regrets it went fast. Also saw a similar pre safety R7 with it and didn't jump. Should have I guess
That is a beautiful stock... I don't remember what mine looks like, hope to have it back soon... So much so that I have returned the HW50 for a R7, that is on back-order. So, sooner or later...
Love the early HW 30! The light weight and excellent balance of that classic, slender, finger-groove German stock design are very nice in their own right (and quite different from an R7 or modern HW 30).
HW30S, Maccari bits, GinB ( Sono Kembang ) stock, Rowan Setback trigger. Sold it 🙄
